Got second in my very first10 player prerelease event and I can say it is all because of your great videos. I've seen many cards that you said were pretty bad being played and never be useful. I'm glad I could avoid those pitfalls :)
I went undefeated in my first ever Prerelease event! There were only 6 people, but still! Funnily enough, the only highly rated card I had in the deck was burst lightning; everything else was rated c+ at best on the Nizzahon scale. And i only drew it in one game. I was pretty nervous but it ended up being really fun. Made some new friends! These videos definitely helped me feel prepared
I've followed a lot of set reviews over the years, and I find Nizzahon's consistently the most useful. Being broken into multiple vids make it more digestible.
This prerelease was a total blast! I cheesed not one, but two people out with Hidetsugu's second rite and went 3-1. Removal felt much better than it has recently
I am currently heading to my prerelease. Many thanks Nizza for your deep reviews for eqch set. They had helped me a lot to inprove my limited and draft games ( I still s@ck though but i still have fun). Edit and update: I can back from yesterday's prerelease and I have to say that I am proud of myself: I came 3rd out of 50 people! First round was a draw and I won the 3 other rounds. I went with lifegain deck and my MVP was the nine lives familiar but the hidden dark horse of my deck was "midnight snack". It worked amazingly in the deck and won me my last game. Thank you again Nizzahon for all your guides!!!
I get your reasoning with Llanowar Elves, but I would always pick my first couple llanowar elves before my first bite down. There is other cards that can do a similar job as a bite down, the same cannot be said for llanowar elves.
That's crazy, a lot of the cards you named are in the Beginner Box. And i thought the Beginner Box would be released with a super low power level. I love Foundations.
Had 4 Infestation Sages in the prerelease. I also had Alesha, Who Laughs at Fate. Just swinging every turn with the Sages and their insects won me several games because of that interaction.
Infestation sage helped my opponent survive in game 2 of round 2. I then missed 2 drops, he got KOMA, overwhelmed me with that trample 8/12 body and the spawned 4 x 3/3 creature tokens it get from player damage... Won the 3rd game against Koma again. But chandra got the best of her with a firespitter whelp
I remember Crawling Chorus from Phyrexia All Will be One, the 1/1 for one white mana that died into a 1/1 mite token performing really well, and that token had toxic, but it couldn't block. I expect Infestation Sage to perform well too since the token not only can block, it flies.
While you’re right that Crawling Chorus was good, it was only particularly good because of the context of its format; ONE was very fast and aggressive. This format doesn’t seem nearly as fast but i think infestation sage will be good for a different reason: all the sacrifice synergies in black. Still probably not the top common imo though
i almost went blue red... but had a Llanwar elf and 3 ramp spells so went Gruul ramp :D had the Tolarian Terror + 3 counter spells in blue. My promo card was HiGH FAE TRiCKSTER... Flash Rare (3)(B).... "you may cast spells as though they had flash"
I opened 2 loot and a chandra at my prerelease but ended up only playing one loot in a mediocre selesnya deck with black splash since all other colors were pretty shallow and also didn't have a lot of good cards. Unsurprisingly ended up 0-3-1 in the end, but still had some fun nonetheless.
I misheard "bulk test" and said to myself: Never heard of this but it makes so much sense since not every format has lightning bolt." ... Then my ears started working again. Alas..
I don't know if it will be good, but going top deck mode is petty common in draft. Getting something out of your death draws can be the difference between winning and loosing.
I talked about it a little in my pre-review video about the archetypes and themes. Basically it matters more in Limited than anywhere, but still mostly doesn't matter.
Went 3-1 on my prerelease, opened a Koma, a Tatyova, and a simic dual land in the same booster pack, then I opened another Koma in a different booster pack, that creacher is nuts and I was able to play it almost every game
Nice! Shivan Dragon can definitely win games. Lots of C's can. But I'm going to need a lot more than an anecdote to believe that it's more than a C. Sealed always has way more board stalls than draft, so there's a good chance the dragon is pretty great.
@@NizzahonMagic I didn't say it's unbeatable or anything, my opponents wasted premium removal on lesser threats and I held up countermagic all the time ( I had double essence scatter in my pool) It was more on me clowning on commander players than the cards being good that I played. Everyone either slammed their bombs into scatter or didn't play anything when I had blue mana open that won me the games. Also I saw chump attacks and blocks
My prerelease kit only had 5 of these cards, and the deck i played didn't have any of them... Womp womp. (I played azorious because i pulled ajani and kaito)
Went 1-2 in my prerelease. Worst pulls I've ever seen, unfortunately. My friend kindly and affectionately described it as "if spellslinger had a stroke." Did not pull removal, nor did I really pull any good uncommons. Unfortunate draft all around.
The best green uncommon is Overrun. A 4/3 elf body with a card recursion is really good, but it is no Overrun. In my prerelease last night i went 5-0-1 with Overrun ending 8 of my games. I did not see it the other 5 games I played. Do not underestimate Overrun.
Overrun is great, but too situational to be at the top of a list like this. Like, you take the 4/3 with a first pick over Overrun every time, I would imagine. Also worth noting that sealed has more board stalls than draft. Will be interesting to see what the data says in the end.

Nice work!
I went first out of 16 at prerreleqse , and it was mostly due to liliana😂. Thx for the content

Elvish Regrower is what Gravedigger dreams of being

thanks for getting this up so early man. I'm sitting here prepping for pre release =)

@@ThatGuy-ng7et That's a very valid point; Fingers crossed this set is a lot slower.

Not sure Elfsworn Giant will be good since by the time you cast it, you won't have any land left in hand.

Any thoughts on the combat changes?

Already got 1 of my 5 equipment exiles today lol
Today i run 1-2 at My Pre
Hoping do it Beter tomorrow
went 3-6 [ 1-2, | 2-1 | 0-2 ] using a Gruul Ramp.
Llnawar elf + 3-4 ramp spells. A Grull dual land. Chandra - Etali - 2 Firespitter Whelps, the Phoenix :D
How odd, i thought you weren't doing a ser review for fundations but i turned out youtube wasn't showing your set reviews in my feed
I'm glad you're seeing my content again!
I don't know how I'm supposed to sacrifice or chump block Helpful Hunter to get the full value 😢
Doomed Traveler isnt 20 years old yet.
Every sealed game I played ended up in a boardstall went 5-0 and shivan dragon ended all games with 2 swings easily

3-1 at prerelease with Lillie. This set is nuts, bombs everywhere
This bot did NOT watch the video
Beep boop beep bop
no artifacts or multi-color?
