But he never got the hint so she had to use muscle memory combined with the slower tempo which must have been SO hard live. She pulled it off like a champ though. That was dope.

But in this song, Lady Gaga uses the imperfections in that range, her breaks and airy placement to create vulnerability. Lea Salonga is on the opposite spectrum on this song. She has perfect control. Just as an opera singer. That is a whole different experience. If Lady Gaga wanted to do that, she would have pitched the entire song way down. But vulnerability is the very essence of that song. Lea is artist, she paints the every feeling and emotion of the lyrics with her voice. Her voice is pure and honest. Gaga is a storyteller, she tells you the feelings and emotions of the lyrics. Both are excellent performers and have their own personal strengths in their performances. I prefer someone to paint me a picture so I prefer Lea’s performance rather than tell me about the picture as Gaga does.
Other singers will find it hard to make a better rendition of this song because First of all, Lady Gaga originally sang this with raw, real and incomparable emotions and vocals. Ok so hands down, this has got to be the best cover of this song FOR ME. I really have this bad habit of watching a movie after a month or two, no matter how exciting or how good the review.
