Nate T not covering SAA side of the story maybe. Hopefully they will. From the looks of it they have just interviewed the side that opposes them, and they are biased calling Assad evil etc., that's why it looks like VICE is biased. I bet Assad forces will have their explanation too and call the rebels terrorists and shit, and have perfect grounds for that, as Roussos said, they are killing civillians on the other side too, they just don't have enough ammunition to grade up to Assad. The only difference really. Both are fucking idiots, both have reasons to fight and view the other side as enemy. No 'evils' here.
VICE you guys are amazing and I hold the utmost respect for you all as journalists. Going into Syria and being with the rebels and being in danger like this is nothing short of ballsy. I'm glad investigative journalism is still alive even if it's not in the mainstream. Keep up the awesome work and know that your work is very much appreciated

@3:37- I like how the Arab Guerilla with the smirk on his face pointed to the dorky-looking dude named Abu Hassan and said "That's our Secretary of Defense" (something in the back of my mind is telling me that......that is NOT their Secretary of Defense! and that he was just telling a sick joke!)
You guys at VICE VICE News are amazing. You're taking huge risks, to educate the world. Your documentaries are Rich of info, and are more interresting than any other I've seen on national television. I Hope that you Guys one Day will be rewarded for all the Hard work you are doing.
Just for clarification: the people killed by rebel forces in government held areas are way, way less than the people killed by Assad forces in rebel held areas. The number of people killed by rebel bombing in government held areas in the last two years are less then 40 people, wile the number of people killed by Assad forces in Aleppo is in the thousands.
master millz actually he is right , rebels do strike military positions , but the regime bombard civilians areas , and then accuse the rebels to use civilians as human shields
Man. A lot of the battle scenes are literally these guys throwing grenades and shooting from walls of their house where they play, eat and watch TV. War is bizarre.
6:16 ... so true, videos like this barely got 500k views after the war dragging on for over a decade now and all the foreign jihadists are dead, in kurdish prison or back home. All that is left that no one is caring still and Putin and Bashar continuing to kill off the last resistance aswell. Comparing that this video got half a million views after 8 years of it being published and virtually every news article or video having ukraine in its title, gets atleast a million views, is just crazy like people think the integrity of europe is more threatened by a war in Ukraine then Syria
Bill York Im talking about general gunfire and all the religious warcries. Well, the only religious warcry. In every battle. In every war. From Lebanon to Afghanistan and from Iraq to Syria
***** Is the US Army using religious warcries every second? Nope. Is the US Army using religious fanatism throughout their troops? Nope. allahu snackbar!
God, I ask in prayer that you help these people find a peaceful end to war, an end to war and a way to bring about that " peace " so that there can be a "new"..help these men and there children both boys and girls study architecture and construction..In the name (or descriptive reference of) GOD I pray, AMEN.
So messed up seeing the regime come into priceless ancient citys and destroying them. I do agree with the rebels fighting though, they are good with those improvised weapons.
Im not religious by any means... but may these mens faith bring them victory.. the hardest toughest on earth...may your god bless you love from ireland
12:17 made me really sad if my dad said that in front of me i would feel like a piece of crap and the guy in the video probably does not love his kids.
Do both sides yell admiral Akbar like crazy or just the "rebels". I tend to like watching the Syrian armies tank video and I never here them yell constantly?
I respect this reporter for what he does risking his life and all. But why does he have to whisper most of the time? Also if you take into account that difficult British accent and you don't understand half of what he says in the field. Except maybe the parts narrated afterwords in the editing.
amazing coverage, salutations to the reporters risking their lives to make this footage! while some say its one sided i find it extremely colourful, the views expressed here by average people (of this faction) is not something you will ever hear on the regular news! besides you cant seriously expect a reporter to move across hostile lines in a warzone!? how would that even be possible? its not a videogame!
I truly despise the people who watch these video for entertainment and not to seek the real truth. I do commend vice news and their team for the quality they put out. At least people have a small idea of whats really going on
4:03 you have all this good military equipment. Yet you use your teeth to open an RPG rocket... you would think someone has bayonet.. or at least a pocket knife
I know this is going to sound very ignorant, but what exactly is going down in Syria? I don't watch news much, and I don't go on the internet much either, I just want a straight answer with maybe a few details, thanks!
Syrian rebels fighting Syrian government. Started out as protests, evolved into an uprising and then into a civil war. It's basically a war of attrition right now. It's been going on for about three years, the people fighting are the Govt + plus Hezbollah, Rebels(moderates and extremists), and the Kurds in Iraq and Syria.
Sometimes I can’t believe that I lived here once, all the destruction made the city unrecognisable I still remember some of the neighbourhoods shown in the video, 10 years ago before I left and never came back since,, The people of Aleppo were super nice, generous and hardworking. Nothing last forever I guess
These cannibals thought it would be clever to call for IS but instead they got an IS haircut, now they are not so happy any more.I am soo sorry for these traitors.
Much more should have been done to stop the destruction of this great old city Aleppo, the syrian people deserve much help as in humanitarian efforts sad very sad.
"Don't bother to aim... God willing, it will hit them."
Wow great military prowess there
Think about it this way, the enemy is already aiming at your position, if you stick your head up for a second too long you're dead.
Fuck aiming, God will do it for them.
Its like the movie wanted where the bullet curverd around stuff.
SaproPhycs Derpy This is not CS:GO BRO :D
+SaproPhycs Derpy but id rather not shoot at a general direction and hope divine intervention will wanted style bend my bullets to hit my enemy
This is why I love vice nobody tells a better story and gets to the front lines like you guys.
Yes true
Yes true

"Try to whisper, The Regime soldiers are very close, and We don't want to wake them if they are sleeping."
So considerate.
as they proceed to fire that recoiless rifle or rocket whatever it was at them lol
@@peopleplaygroundinventions6317 That's just a syrian alarm clock.
My respect goes to Aris (reporter) and the cameraman. They truly have guts.
***** Who wouldn't?
Looks like vice only gave him level 2 body armor (rated to stop pistol rounds) to go into a war zone. Dude def has balls
@@odin7682 Ah yes because level 4 body armor would happen to stop barrel bombs
@@oryx070 obviously not, I was referring to the sniper fire and AK rounds flying all over Aleppo.
"Why did you bring the reporters if they're not prepared to be martyred?" That must have been very unsettling to hear
This is the vice everyone misses
I have amazing amounts of respect for the reporters risking their lives in situations like these!

Noble Sublett

Spamming grenades is BF4.

This is real reporting; I am sincerely worried for their safety but am deeply grateful for them bring this to us.

There is something poetic about Aleppo, something nostalgic...I don't know why.
"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind"
Amazing documentary, would watch it 24/7. Would be really great if they cover regime side as well.
50 thousand people used to live there, now its a ghost town

They should stop shouting after every shot in every fucking battle. They are giving away their position.
God! Thanks for pointing that out. I thought I was the only one thinking about how strategically retarded it is to do that.
Asaad is fighting a bunch of clowns playing war. His army must be in a terrible state if it can't steam roll this lot.

Nice one vice left us on a cliff hanger
I hope those kids are alright....
Do both sides yell admiral Akbar like crazy or just the "rebels". I tend to like watching the Syrian armies tank video and I never here them yell constantly?
Why is Vice not covering the government?
Syrian government typically doesn't allow imbeded Western journalists
because they will be captured ,and surely killed .
rebels are funded by the USA , the Assad regime is funded by russia and iran , enemy's of the USA
usernamefai1 exactly !
Because the government would fuck them up
It's supposed to be a news source representing counter culture...
So sad seeing that little kid being totally disillusioned by his own religion
