On our only stop at Nassau, we took a city bus down to a resort hotel and purchased a $30 per person day-pass access to their beach. It wasn't anything special, other than there was a Caribbean steel band playing at the beach, which I liked. I like the closeness and walkability of Junkanoo Beach. We just might have to consider this next trip.
I was curious about taking public transportation to another beach, but opted for the close walk and in town vibe. The beach wasn't special either but I'm sure most around the area would be the same. We wished they would give more time at these kind of stops
Ya we like free things lol. Sometimes the schedule of an excursion is just too much of a hassle so being able to be on our own time makes it a lot less stressful
"excursion...hassle" for sure esp blue lagoon one. From RC to Lagoon and back already wasted more than 2 hours with a whole lots of confusion. We setting sail today and nooo blue lagoon this time.
@xungngo totally agree. Idk why the ferry boat has to be so slow. Like we just came from riding on and boat and want to swim not joyride on a smaller boat. Lol. I'm jealous, have a fun trip. What ship you on?
If we end up in Nassau again I think we would take one of the public transportation services just outside the terminal and try another beach area. This was ok, but wasn't the cleanest place I've been.
Montagu and Cable beaches I hear are nice and less crowded than the close by junkanoo. Some people on some threads I read rent a buggy and drive around the island and check out multiple beaches. That would be my vote tho some in my family just want to feel sand and close eyes in the sun so it is best to just get to the closest lol
O I would have to say go to Blue Lagoon if you don't mind spending the money. It really is a beautiful spot and can see dolphins even if not paying for the dolphin encounter. There are a few beaches I'd like to see too that need to rent a vehicle or take a cab.
We got off as soon as we could. Think we had a little delay on one of travel days that put us back a little, but still an little bummed we couldn't dock up in the morning to have a "full" day there
These videos are really handy. Thank you mate!
You are very welcome. Thanks for watching
Great trip, nice beach! The beach is worth the walk, for sure.
We liked it. Can see why it may not be up to par for "some" people but we like the price of free. Lol

You are awesome. Thank you 😊 🙌
We can’t wait to get back to the Bahamas! Love it there.
It's a pretty amazing place. Would love to see more of it
really enjoyed the video.. thanks for the info
Thanks for watching. Appreciate it
For a fam of 4, free is a lot better than $400 for a little better Blue Lagoon. You don't see those awesome lion fish in the Blue Lagoon.

It's so beautiful down there. We love it
@@TheRamFam4 thats good
Great video, were there any public facilities like rest rooms at Junkanoo? Going to Nassau shortly.
There were public restrooms, but they weren't the cleanest. Not sure if it's ok to use the one resorts lobby bathroom that's right near or not.
@@TheRamFam4 alright thanks for the info
@bud882 welcome. Hope you have a fun trip
Would you do this again??? I just want beach that's clean and safe. I wasn't a fan of blue lagoon last yr.

@@TheRamFam4what other beach areas? Going in 3 weeks❤ been once, don’t want to go to Atlantis resort again

For someone who hasn’t been to Nassau would you say Blue Lagoon or Junkanoo?

@@TheRamFam4 awesome thank you. Going in 40 days
Exciting! Hope you have a great time! The wife also says Blue Lagoon.
Did it take you until 130 to get off the ship or did you decide to leave it that late in the day?
