Very cool man! Last year I visited the first time in my live the US and I took my Alpackaraft with me. I did not use it much: Not much water in summer, no budies (but I have been visiting Black Canyon of Gunnison - not in the packraft). I returned this summer where I did beautiful trips on Green River, Snake River and Arkansas. The map of packraft runs is exceptional!
Awesome how far you are pushing packrafts. Much easier than lugging a hardshell down there! The Black has been a dream of mine, now I'm not sure which would be the better boat.
I'm not a hardsheller, but my hardshell partners say they see no point in a hardshell in there since they aren't firing up the big and scary stuff anyways. Do it! One of the coolest canyons in the west!
@@jeffreycreamer Thanks for the advice. A run in my neck of the woods that could use a treatment from a team like yours is the Nellie Juan River. Luc Mehl did it a couple years ago but it seems like you guys are firing up a little more difficult whitewater. Great content!
Super fun video. So at 1:30 , is that you guys portaging the legendary under the big ass boulder part? Is that the only portage in that section of river?
Very cool man!

Incredible!
Die Landschaften sind einfach der Hammer. Respekt auch für eure Fahrtechnik und die Flüsse, welche ihr euch runter wagt.
This is the first video that comes up when you look up “Penetrating Atticus Imhoff”
That was epic !

@@kenaipeninsulawhitewater5650 yeah I saw his report, and it's definitely on the list!!
Another classic adventure JC. Trying to convert a few hard-shellers up here in FoCo and those drops might just do the trick. Nice work as always.
the hardshellers I've seen convert have been able to do some impressive stuff (by packraft standards..)
Ich feier euch ihr seit der Hammer Liebe grüsse aus Deutschland

That's the end of it yes. For most people there are a couple other short portage, both above and below the big one.
Epic! How long did this take? Got a longer video? What song is that? (found it, Heartless Bastards - Mountain)
overnighted at beach camp. maybe eventually...
Is this from the Warner trail down?
This was from east portal to chukar
