And the same goes with me. I sold my visodate to buy Hamilton khaki king and soon after realised it can not replace visodate. Specially this silver dial visodate has something special with just stuck in mind. I will also again buy a new visodate on some special occasion. Loved your review... 👍
you're the only dude giving us a full body shot. Really helps in determining the how the size of the watch fits to the whole body. I'm about your size too. I can't tell shit when they just show the watch on the wrist only.
The Gentleman walks that perfect line between bling and class. I got it on the bracelet, but I put it on a nice oil-tanned brown leather strap for cooler weather. It does wear large on the wrist. The Visodate is pretty cool too, with great retro script, but I got the Powermatic “Luxury” instead with the metal dial. Tissot offers so much value for an entry level automatic, certainly beats Seiko nowadays which is pricing itself out of being a great value anymore. Thanks for the video.
I can definitely imagine how much you missed the Visodate. I totally agree, these are two different type of watches, the vintage casual dress Visodate and the sporty elegant modern Gentelman. As a consequence you need both. I also own the Visodate and looking to get the Gentelman on stainless steel strap with that beautiful blue dial that you have. Much fun with these two watches. Great choice!
I am looking to buy my first tissot Watch and I think I’m going to get the white/silver visodate but god damn that gentlemen powermatic on the blue with the metal band looks so sweet. I would love to have both but unfortunately I can only afford one.
You got the better dress watch in the gentleman. I sold my Visodate too but don’t regret it. I was never a fan of the kettle shape case. If I had to get it again I would go with the black dial. Cheers!
Aaron! 😂 I was just watching a couple videos and clicked on this one randomly. I bought your Big Crown Pro Pilot and am currently wearing it, small world!
I bought the Seiko Sarb033 a few years back during Amazon Black Friday for 80usd. Sold it a year after . Didn’t have a clue they would go for up to 1000 usd now 😢
I own the Visodate. It’s a superb watch, I don’t wear it often, as it’s a dressier watch, and I rarely get dressed up. I’d prefer more w/r maybe 50m, and then maybe I’d wear it a bit more as an everyday watch, on different straps.
Neat watches, I've been eyeballing both. But the 21mm lug width on the Gentleman kills it. Hoping for a new version of the Visodate, slightly smaller (38mm?) with a Powermatic 80 movement. I want to try out that newfangled silly-cum pubic hair spring.
Thanks for the video. I think it helped me make my decision between the two. The white dial and vintage font on the Visodate is too much for me to pass up. I think it will be a better strap monster too.
Why do some Visodates have a number by the day? Is it the alternative option on the date wheel? Most I see don’t have the corresponding number to the day of the week. Personally I’m not a fan, I hope it can be rotated so it doesn’t appear.

The Visodate has a kettle shape. It's 37 mm on the top. That's the reason it wears smaller. I love mine on the Milanese strap 😎

I'm blessed to own both and I would recommend both/either to be honest. I use the Visodate for daily wear and the Powermatic for work.

Thank you! I've had it back for a few weeks now and I'm so happy I have the Vidodate again. They both have a place in my collection!

Just ordered the black dial variant and I’m excited about it. My first Swiss auto
Bin the strap, keep the clasp......best on black strap, you ll see how the dial will pop

How much time does the Visodate typically lose / gain daily? Hopefully nothing in the double-digits . . ?

it can be rotated; for example you can have the day and corresponding number of the week or just the day without the number of the week
Quartz models are also 3-6-9-12 with a date window at 3 o'clock and no day.
The new Visodate 42mm Powermatic 80 is perfect for me.
Where do you go to sell your watches, brotha?
The only problem I have with the gentleman is that it’s case is bulky and large relative to the dial. It looks like it was made for a bracelet
ma prochaine montre avec le mouvement "powermatic 80"
I heard the Tissot Gentleman has chronometer specs.
The gentlemen is cool, but cannot match the visodate
Good move.
Best Tissot watch by a hundred miles.
You could easily waer a nice Diver with your arms/ wrist! xD
big guy, big body, but tinny watch... lol
40mm isn't tiny by any standard, especially for a dress watch
Found the invicta fan
