one thing you should know about IU. She HARDLY ever cries. I think after being a fan for 12 years, I can count the times seeing her cry with only one hand. Of course not including her acting scenes in dramas and movies.
This was so much fun to watch, you can really see what a special friendship these two have & the respect they have for each other. Gosh too bad IU got sick, but understandable with the freezing conditions they were working under, but kudos to her for making one of the best MV's I've seen. This behind was such a great treat. Tae and IU's bond and natural chemistry is so precious to see in action and really added to the emotional impact and realness of their characters. I so hope they will do more projects together. It was also so wonderful seeing Tae in a romantic role and he really showcased his leading man potential. I hope when he returns from his service that he will do many more acting roles in addition to his solo and group music. He is just so amazingly talented and I want to see all parts of him get the chance to shine...music, acting, modeling, etc.

If you are looking for some slower or ballady like songs to start with, My Sea, Love Poem, Dear Name, Through the Night, but Killing Voice is probably a good video to start with and the official performance videos on her channel. IMO, IU is the most genuine person on/off camera. There are also tons of clips/articles of her selflessness, even in this video (and other videos on her channel) she will put up a missing child report at the end and reach a wider audience to help. If you can find Hyori's B&B season 1 somewhere, that's the best variety show that really shows her personality where she works as staff at a B&B and helps your everyday non-celebrity guests and over the years still keeps in contact with some of them by inviting them to her concerts and sang at one of their weddings. I can't even think of a single celebrity figure at her stature that would do that.
You should watch IU singing live like Eight (band version), Zee, By the Stream and live concert clips. She's known to sound better live than the studio versions.

I think thats crazy that such a rich MV (more like a short movie), is done shooting in just 2 days. What an amazing mix of great director and great actors, it was so smooth in a very short time.

In addition, IU is close enough to joke and prank with other BTS members besides V, and their relationship is close enough to share their music with each other. IU debuted as a singer in middle school and is a singer with a huge fan base and popularity, so much so that she is called Korea's national little sister. She is a celebrity's celebrity, and many other idol groups choose IU as the singer they want to be like. Also, although IU does not do overseas activities as much as other idol singers, she already has many fans around the world and has plans to hold concerts in many countries around the world during 2024.

Literally can't even put heat pads on any exposed skin. her manager (i believe?) tried to pull her into his long puffer jacket protect her from the cold was so sweet!!! 14:32 It hurts to see her cried frustrated unable to sing well because of her sickness... Love these behind the scene, watching the MV we know how amazing their acting skills are but then add to the picture we see the whole crew 20-40 people behind the camera watching! Damn hard to act in front of that many people watching you! Professionals! Also i said many times but would still say it - IU's speaking tone is so insanely different from singing! LOVE BOTH!

Background - During the fall of 2019 as she was getting ready to start her Love Poem concert tour one of her very best friends, Sulli, took her own life. IU had been friends with Sulli for eight years and Sulli and IU had just finish filming the kdrama Hotel Del Luna, which IU was the female lead. About 30 days later another friend Goo Hara took her life. News of this reached IU during her concert in Seoul and she had a difficult time finishing her concert, this is the only concert where she didn't perform an Encore (her encores are amazing in themselves as they can last 2 hours). In true IU fashion as she talked to her fans she expressed concern for then and ask then to take care of each other. This brough to 3 the number of friends who had taken their own lives. The 1st was a very close male friend Jonghyun of Shinee. This song she wrote in early 2020 is about her struggle in dealing with these deaths, from her saddness, loneliness and anger, to the point she declares she doesn't want to love anyone again. The MV for the song helps IU resolve these issues, as a 2d animated Sulli and Jonghyun as his alter ego, a dragon, here IU's pain and set about to try and correct what is always an unintended consequence of suicide.
