  • Bose QC45 reset or Bose QC45 factory reset procedure. Bose quietcomfort 45 reset can be done by connecting the headphones to the smartphone via Bluetooth and then press and slide the action and Bluetooth buttons in the same time for 30 seconds.

    That is brilliant. This fixed my ‘hung’ headphones! I honestly thought I’d have to buy another pair.
    My issue was on turning the headphones on, I had zero sound and just a white power light. Completely unable to connect.

    This video works! - I have the Bose QC45 and while I was resetting them about 15 secs in the light stopped blinking and went back to a solid white color but I kept holding the bottom and switch toward the Bluetooth and around 32 secs the light flashed 2 or 3 times red and the headset put itself back into paring mode. Thanks a lot for the help!

    I just had a blinking white light after an update. Headphones wouldnt not connect or do anything. FOllowed thIs video and my headphones work again! Thank you!

    Thank you! In my case the aware/quiet mode switch stopped working and the reset seems to have helped. The instructions on their Website are useless. Frankly, the whole Bose app- and user experience is surprisingly irritating and confusing. So thank you again for taking the time to make this video, much appreciated! :)

    Im surprised thiss worked! I tried the hard reset for about 50 seconds and the right light never came but then the message to connect came up on my phone. Thank you for the help 😊

    Thank you for these instructions. I am finding that my headphones are now disconnecting at 80% power so I'm hoping this will help fix the problem. I have had these headphones for 18 months and I am disappointed that I am having this problem. I agree that the directions on the product website suck (for want of a better expression) and so am grateful I found this video. Wish me luck!

    Thank you so much for this video, I bought these a week ago and the sound is already going in and out. I ordered another set and Ill return these, but I wanted to test out the factory reset first. The directions from Bose were worthless, I am so glad It wasnt me not doing it right lol. I really liked my NC700, but the QC45 have actually a much stronger Noise Cancellation which is what I need them for. The only downfall is the sound is not as good as the 700, the Base is less and the Treble is higher. I have adjusted in the EQ settings but its not the best. I am hoping to try a 3rd party EQ app. If you know of one that would be great. Again, thank you so much for helping me reset, I will test them again to see if the problem persists before returning them. I hope I don't have the issue with the replacement set I ordered.

      I also returned mine. I have tried 2 units, both of them with problems. I bought Sony XM5 and I can tell you that they are the best.

      @@recanything Thank you so much for that info, I will look into it. After I did the reset on the first qc45 it seems to sound better, but still not as great as bose 700. I am glad to know about the sonys, again thanks so much :) Update: I just reviewed Sony online, it takes what I love from bost 700: headphone size slide not click huge for me, the touch swipe, not buttons, exactly what I need. Simu connect 2 devices, Longer battery 30 hours, even a Lost my Headphone from Google. Rec Anything. You just saved me so many headaches. Im so excited. I wish I knew this during black friday, but they are still 50.00 off right now. So thanks so very much. :)

    to clear the blue tooth device list from previous devices, slide and hold the button on the right ear muff, to the right, until it says "bluetooth device list cleared"

    The difference between the procedure in the Bose manual and this video: manual says to remove the headphone device from phone Bluetooth connection list and the Bose app and start with headphones off. This video suggests not removing the device from phone and app and starting with headphone on and connected.
    Have you tried the Bose manual procedure with only one change: start with headphones ON ?

    Hi , maybe someone can help me . I have these exact headphones that I bought a few years ago , they still in a perfect condition but they are connected to an old device that I no longer have. Every time I’m trying to connect my iPhone and pair it to my headphones it says it connected to the old device and that the devices has not found. How can I pair my iPhone to them??? Someone please help me I don’t want to throw them away

    My Bluetooth all of a sudden stopped working, my phone would show connected, volumn control would work but no sound, not sure why the following worked but before i found this video I use the supplied audio cable and plugged it into my laptop that had a 3.5mm jack connection, after using the headphones with a wired connection all of a sudden the bluetooth connection started working🤔

    How do you connect two pairs of QC45s to a single Bluetooth device like an iPad so two people can listen while watching a movie at the same time on an airplane? I used to be able to do that with QC35s.

    Yeah I cannot connect them to anything because I can't turn it on and I saw a suggestion to do a factory reset, if I could had it connected to something I wouldn't be needing a factory reset =\

    My bose headphone QC45 is not working. When connect to charging its blinking yellow and white continuously. When switched off charging point though blinking for few seconds but when disconnect charging cable blinking stop. I tried to reset, so pressed power/blue tooth button and multi function button for more than 30 second but not able to reset the headphone QC45 or not blue light show.

    I have had the QC45 for less than 2 months, they were amazing with noise canceling up until a couple of days ago now I can still hear my surroundings. I have tried resetting them by deleting apps and reinstalling them. I don't know what else to do, I don't want to buy the 700, and they also have an issue. Did you get the 700s? Any issues?

    I have had these for two years I turned them on this morning they connected and said 40 percent battery I turned them off and charged them and now they refuse to turn on

    There is no need to have them connected to your device, but they DO need to be ON before doing this, which the website instructions are not clear about.

      I bought them less than two months ago and since today they don’t turn on; when you connect them to the pc or put them in charge, it makes a yellow light, but when you disconnect them, they’re dead. I don’t understand the reason.

    Tried everything..Bose instructions worthless. App shows connected, Spotify says it's playing to QC35II, Galaxy S23 says connected, but NO lit LED (S'posed to be Blue????) on earphones, and virtually no sound..no Spotify, and no Bose voice indicating. Tried your. Factory Reset, but no Red Flashing LED appeared. Past warranty...Very disappointed in Bose products. Is something broken inside the earphone???

    To reset your headphones
    Connect the small end of the USB cable into the USB-C port on the right earcup. (do not plug into power yet). Slide the Power/Bluetooth switch to the right and hold it while connecting the other end of the USB cable into a USB wall charger.

    Do not buy bose. I have the same problem and contact bose.
    The customer service said send $320 with old headphone and replace new.
    Bought at $500. It is $370 on the market price
    It is second headphones, the same brand, break down every 2 years
    QC WAS BAD AND NOW NC ALSO DRAG ME CAZY

    Didn't work at all. Bose is so crap they can't even do factory reset right!?
    So much money, and I've probably spent 20 hours to get them to work on PC/laptop and the sound isn't even good. Inexcusable. So much for paying for reliability.

      @@recanything Nah. I keep doing it. Probably a 15 times now. Your white starts blinking but mine just stops, and then there's just a green light and nothing ever happens.
      They are connected, so that's not the issue.
