- Join me as I journey to Sagres, the captivating edge of the world. This is Portugal's last frontier, where the majesty of towering cliffs meets the timeless beauty of the endless Atlantic Ocean.
In this episode, I delve into the rich history of Sagres, an ancient maritime haven that once bustled with the energy of Portugal's Age of Discoveries. From the imposing Sagres Fortress, a testament to the town's strategic importance, to the awe-inspiring Cape St. Vincent, known to the Romans as the 'Sacred Promontory', each location echoes tales from the past.
As I explore, I take you along the rugged coastline, each turn revealing another breathtaking beach. We experience together the unique charm of this remote location, where every vista is a painting, and every moment is a memory in the making.
I start my day with a delicious vegan breakfast at the vibrant Laundry Lounge, a place that mirrors the colorful character of Sagres itself. We then traverse the town, immersing ourselves in its history and culture.
As the day unfolds, we stand at the southwesternmost point of Portugal and Europe, Cape St. Vincent. This enchanting spot feels like the end of the world, yet the beginning of everything.
Finally, I end the day with a delightful vegan dinner at Arte Bianca, a hidden gem in the heart of Sagres known for its wonderful dishes and warm hospitality.
Get ready to be captivated by Sagres, a place that offers much more than stunning vistas. It's a place that speaks to the soul, a destination that feels like the end of the world, yet the beginning of everything.

Great that you show where you are on Google Earth, helps us figure out the area before our visit.
Another great video mate, love the information about the history and those sound chambers are cool.
Can't wait to get out there! Although that wind better calm itself down by the time I arrive.
You'll be glad of the wind hiking on the Vincenta coast path 🥵

Excellent, I'm sure you'll love it, it's very different to the rest of the Algarve and it's super relaxed
Sagres is one of my favourite places in Portugal, and definitely in the Algarve. I love that it’s rustic. It’s beautiful! I don’t think it’s want to live there though.
I know what you mean, I still feels a little bit like the wild west out there!
@@mrwilliamstravels Yes! In the 3 months I lived in Portugal though, I went twice, took the coastal route down from the Silver coast to both Sagres and Lagos. Costa Vicentina is magical!
@@JenShea yeah it really is, my friend and I recently walked some of the rota vicentina coast path and it was stunning!
Hi , you just tracked there for Holidays from USA ?
