Abhijitji I very appreciate this talk with Sahana Singh. My simple question is why we still pronounce गुरुकुल as gurukulaa, वेद as vedaa and so on. It has become a fad to pronounce योग as yoga and I find this quite objectionable. Will we pronounce an English word or a word from some other language ? So why this step motherly treatment to our own language ? I hope this will be taken onboard.

*How was Nalanda University:*
The center had eight separate compounds, 10 temples, meditation halls, classrooms, lakes and parks.
It had a nine-storey library where monks meticulously copied books and documents so that individual scholars could have their own collections.
It had dormitories for students, perhaps a first for an educational institution, housing 10,000 students in the university’s heyday and providing accommodations for 2,000 professors.
Nalanda University attracted pupils and scholars from Korea, Japan, China, Tibet, Indonesia, Persia and Turkey.
Know of any Indian University that has an international reputation right now?
@@emsworthcastle4849 University of Pune(SPPU), University of Mumbai, Anna University, Delhi University etc and private universities like Symbiosis University, D Y Patil, LPU, Amity, Manipal, VIT Vellore and a few more are upcoming and gaining considerable respect. Also, institutes like IITs, IIMs, AllMS, IISc Bengaluru, BITS Pilani etc have great reputation worldwide.
@@pujapatil8199 Not a single one of these Indian universities figures in top 100 world universities. With the exception of the 5 IITs and IIS Bangalore, no Indian University is known globally. It's a shame that the so-called largest democracy hasn't got a single University with international reputation.
@@emsworthcastle4849, it’s a shame on you. You want to believe certificate given by western then giving respect to natives.
Hope you are not crypto. You still can convert, but how you will convince your forfathers linger.
@@emsworthcastle4849 Rankings are manipulative and catered in favour of the West. Though Post Graduate, Doctoral, Research and Development facilities are definitely better in the West. Soon Bharat will catch up with them.

Loved this! So correctly said 💯 Bharat never needed to be secular in the first place! It was a tactic to undermine and demean Hindus!
Simply beautiful. Proud Bharatiya.

@@girsharma2076 Yes, exactly!Bharat is our land and I feel, every Bhartiya should make the government feel their presence, we all should in a unified way make demands, societal demands should be there to reclaim our civilization and it's true values. As long as our countrymen depend solely on the government, things will be slow in movement! There should be a Bhartiya forum to make our demands audible and clear to the government, Even after independence, the country people are deprived of many things due to corruptions, it's high time, we speak up! I still, being 80, an old Indian engineer of Mumbayee, feel the real loss is that in our childhood from 0 t0 6 we are not taught the SCIENTIFIC WAY of being curious and investigate eveything with the fundamentals of science.

Sir please please please have a podcast with balkrishna sir....... recently watched his podcast with ranveer but the way he was representing his knowledge was really out of the box, but ranveer interrupted him at regular intervals.....so please make this comments surf on the top
Really I too have watched that podcast that was terrible
He's already done a podcast w Balakrishna sir, check it out
Ranveer is a hypocrite , congressi sucking up to the right wingers just for publicity nd viewership .
Exactly, I'm also thinking of commenting the same here!
Ranveer was too timid to accept the truth as he was scared about losing his viewership, hence he was interrupting not allowing Sandeep to talk freely and imposing his immature views. There are 2 excellent podcasts with Sandeep conducted by Abhijit Chawda.

Nice guest, and knowledgable.
Sahana ji, thx for clarity of thoughts about our educational system and excellent research. I am definitely buying your books and gift them to my friends. 🌞
Ji ha, aapne bohot sahi cheez kahi hai, kya mai britain ko britaina kabhi bulaaunga? Nahi, hamaari jo bhasha hai hame allow karti hai to be able to spell each and every literal word in this world with ease, ise sanskruti kehte hai, to ham kyu hamare khudke shabdo ko "a" se jod de, gurukul kaho, yog kaho, dhyaan karne ko bhi log meditation karna hai kehte hai, thoda to apni sanskruti se judo, what an insult to be listening to people like these. One thing I know is that they are very literate, knowledgeable and to the point people, but most times they just feel like pseudo hindutvavadis jab ye aisi cheeze karte hai.
The thing is, people like AC, jo jinse vo interview kar rhe hai, ye apni puri zindagi prachaar karte rahenge sanskrit ye, ved gyaan ye, education system ye vo ye vo,
Par marte dam tak prachaar bas enlgish me hoga, aur entitled hoga
In Sanskrit, it is Veda, Yoga, Gurukulam..not ved, yog, gurukul 🙄
