You also need to swap Trunks and Vegeta shoulders. It will give you a buff Goku and a good body for base form Vegeta/SSG Vegeta.

Can you try this tip out on another short?
1. Microwave water 60 sec
2. Submerge neck/peg for 10 sec
3. Remove peg with a fork sliding between the slots

hair dryer is better, honestly if you keep submerge the figure in water all the metal pieces inside the figure will eventually rust.
the fork method is quite good.
