If u steal the air ride for the winnebago, u can always redo the interior. Hide the rear shocks in closets/cabinets or shower stall. This is goina be a pretty cool build. Ive seen them jacked up on 4x4 frames. Interested how this will turn out bein slammed 👍
Man, I wish I still had my Tonka Winnebago! I used to love that thing! Sweet Build so far! I'm looking forward to seeing the follow up videos for this! 🙂🤜
Rc Sparks did one a while back that was comverted into a crawler, it was pretty awesome, but just like you I also had my share of lowriders so i cant wait to see what you do!
Man that's awsosome🤘. I've watched quite a few of your videos and you build some bad ass stuff. I wish I lived close to you and come hang out everyday you'd have a new friend LOL
RC Everyday Tour Bus. 😄 Yeah go for the pro air setup on this. I see capo has an air ride kit now 1:8 scale though not 1:10 It's looks Really Cool, Probably Real Expensive to.
That is going to be cool. A good way to fix yellowed plastic is to coat it in peroxide gel and set it under a uv light for about 24 hours. They sell peroxide gel where woman get stuff for their hair
Sweet idea but I say give it a functional slam. A vehicle looks better if it can still function properly and judging by the awesome Fab work you're capable of doing. I believe you could give it a nice lowered look without the bags to save interior besides isn't that why you were excited to see the interior in such good shape. Keep up the good work. I think your scale garage is one that everyone else should try to go by.
I just saw a short of this thing. I’ll be watching this playlist today 😁 a few years ago our car club (qc Gearheads) bought a real winnie brave we called it the gearbox . It was gonna be our mobile clubhouse to take to car shows. We got it about 80% finished and someone offered some good money for it so it got sold. We we’re gonna do a turbocharged junkyard ls motor in it . Sure would’ve been cool
Made one of these about ‘13ish. TLT’s, RC4WD single speed tranny, on Leaves, Uni-mog CC-01 tires/wheels. Eventually the little chrome monster truck tires/wheels where I got the TLT’s. A little bigger and wider. Standard chevron tread. Didn’t have it long enough to do any interior other than simple seat and steering wheel. Lexan windows. Slow but effective. I totally wanted to do a Horror theme inside, had a Iron Maiden-Eddie-Piece of Mind figure in mind.
Its gonna be awesome when your done and like Thomas said capo just came out with thier air ride set up and it would probably be what your looking for in a air ride setup for that
Crazy just saw this rig yesterday at the Salamanca antique mall. Was telling my friend hey people make them into runners. Lets see if you bring it to life 👍
No don't air ride it. youve made it so far with the ramp truck leave that as it is. use Rc4wd LoRider tires narrow the front axle a bit for seteerage and use servos on normal springs to change the ride height. ive been planning this same build for a while to go with my mighty roughneck pickup on an SCX10 Chassis :)
Doesn't look right slammed that far. I think about half of stock height would be pretty cool. Then you could use leaf springs and not even need a frame of any sort. Motor in the back like a pusher setup would be killer too. ;)
Yes put the air ride in it, maybe you could tint the windows so that the interior cutting wont be so noticeable. Put regular suspension on the ramp truck.
I love tonka rc..... Totally worth air ride on it. Just think, ....it has put up with years and years of abuse to make it to your bench, splurge on it. Drag bumper ,brah
Normally I would say no to stealing parts from one project for another... But in this case I feel the air ride needs them other 2 shocks for the rear and see if that helps. If not then I say use the kit on the wino and use the 2 spares on the front of the ramp truck... But another kit later on. Also might have to "roll" them fenders just a touch so it can drop smoothly.. Or shave a touch off the adaptor..
Thats so cool. Wish i had money to do what you do. I just have a dozen different rc cars and trucks. I dont even have money to buy double A batteries to get them up and running lol.
Is there any way you could make adjustable height suspension with servos and regular shocks? You'd need some strong servos but it might be possible, it could even lock in to place by rotating the servos past the highest ride height point so you don't need to keep applying power to keep it up.
If you build wheel tubs with flat floor in between I think that would give you a place to mount shocks. As for the ramp truck , think about looking at manufactured cantilever sets.
It is late 90's reproduction (by Nylint brand) of the old Rodzy Racer tether car. i thought I had a video up on chopped toys channel but I dont, may have to do one on it. The originals sell for around $150 to $500 depending on condition, can still find these repops new in box for around $100. I sanded it down and painted it a gloss green then wetsanded to a nice patina.
The reproduction one just has a dummy engine. The originals have a functional one. Google thimble drone racing. Tons of history on them. Tiny little gas engines.
This is so cool. I'm about to start a build on one, but nor RC. Just a shelf piece. I was hoping you could tell me a little more about the wheel size you have, I'm not familiar with RC stuff. I've seen several but this thing being so big it's hard to know which to get. You mentioned tamiys 1.7s. Can you elaborate a little for me please?
I used the wheels from tamiya 1/14 scale semi trucks like the king hauler. They are 1.7 inch diameter. They are all plastic and about the cheapest wheels you can get that size and scale.
Please don't give up on the ramp truck air suspension you are so close to getting it right. If this tonka will be a tow rig you should probably put in a nice low riding leaf setup in the rear that won't sag with the weight of a trailer
What is the model or part number of the model of the semi truck from tamiya that you had used for the front axle only? And what scale of semi truck was it from 1/14 scale?
Sweet thank you so much I’m about to slam my tonka winniebago camper and install a water cooled nitro engine in it. You’re build is really awesome gave me a lot of ideas and inspiration
If you don’t go with air ride why not just solid mount the axels using some 1/10 scale U bolts? Running it that low there really isn’t much point having suspension as it’s not going to do anything.
A slammed Winnebago hauling a rat rod is a such a cool idea. 👍
Where's my video at it's been a week already
you absolutely have to bag that thing. What an awesome project!
This is so Cool ! This is going to be one Bad A** Rat Rod Camper/Hauler !!
If u steal the air ride for the winnebago, u can always redo the interior. Hide the rear shocks in closets/cabinets or shower stall. This is goina be a pretty cool build. Ive seen them jacked up on 4x4 frames. Interested how this will turn out bein slammed 👍
Great trailer, I love it !!!
Man, I wish I still had my Tonka Winnebago! I used to love that thing! Sweet Build so far! I'm looking forward to seeing the follow up videos for this! 🙂🤜
Amazing, I'm basically building a clone of this right now
Looking forward to seeing you put your magic to work.i just picked up a tonka Indian as well mines going to be a crawler hauler.
I have the same Tonka built as a crawler. It is really cool. Amazing performance for a 12 pound beast! Repainting interior now..Thank you for sharing.
Salut il paissent 12klg?
I love this, you are doing great. I would have played with it like crazy, even stock.
Rc Sparks did one a while back that was comverted into a crawler, it was pretty awesome, but just like you I also had my share of lowriders so i cant wait to see what you do!
I found one at an antique store. it is considerably more beat up, im thinking crawler.. this is fantastic looking, thanks for the inspiration!
Man that's awsosome🤘. I've watched quite a few of your videos and you build some bad ass stuff. I wish I lived close to you and come hang out everyday you'd have a new friend LOL
I'm really enjoying your videos, I cant wait to see the next video on it!~
Good start looking sweet
RC Everyday Tour Bus. 😄

Tile'n dyna guy it’s for 1/10 and 1/8 I have one one my 1/10 and it works very well
@@tonycrow1284 Oh,,,😌.
That's BADASS 😮
There probably a lil heavy in the pocket though huh
Gonna be an awesome build, cant wait to see. Air ride all the way bro..Wow dually? Nice!
Yes, put that kit on this vehicle!!
That is going to be cool. A good way to fix yellowed plastic is to coat it in peroxide gel and set it under a uv light for about 24 hours.
They sell peroxide gel where woman get stuff for their hair
Definitely bag it. Would be awesome
This build is smoking HOT! Great Job!
Wow man, thats awesome!

That is sick! Following this for sure
Love this so jealous we can't get this sort of Tonka in England without spending a vast amount of money
Made one of these about ‘13ish. TLT’s, RC4WD single speed tranny, on Leaves, Uni-mog CC-01 tires/wheels. Eventually the little chrome monster truck tires/wheels where I got the TLT’s. Long ago I had a plan to build one of these on a Tamiya Semi Chassis as an “Ultimate-Scale” rc Motor Home. Buuuut that project went south.
HA!, no kiddin" me too... many years ago..... and that is as far as it went... lol!
So awesome! You gotta use the air ride on this. Pleeeeeeze!
Its gonna be awesome when your done and like Thomas said capo just came out with thier air ride set up and it would probably be what your looking for in a air ride setup for that
Nice find on fleabay! When I can,I'd like to take on a project like that.
Crazy just saw this rig yesterday at the Salamanca antique mall. Was telling my friend hey people make them into runners. Lets see if you bring it to life 👍

its a great project bud. i just finished my yesterday. :)
Bag the Bago buddy. Ramp truck is cool but think airride be much better on this for sure!😉👍
I love tonka rc.....
Totally worth air ride on it.
Just think, ....it has put up with years and years of abuse to make it to your bench, splurge on it.
Drag bumper ,brah
Build your shock set up like the traxxas E-Revo has that would work great on the ramp truck in my opinion
I totally think you should air ride this and do a conventional suspension on the flatbed hauler truck
Normally I would say no to stealing parts from one project for another... But in this case I feel the air ride needs them other 2 shocks for the rear and see if that helps. If not then I say use the kit on the wino and use the 2 spares on the front of the ramp truck... But another kit later on. Capo just came out with air ride for the jk max an all metal 1/8 I bet they have the power you need
Is there any way you could make adjustable height suspension with servos and regular shocks? You'd need some strong servos but it might be possible, it could even lock in to place by rotating the servos past the highest ride height point so you don't need to keep applying power to keep it up.
And, would be amazing with the air ride!!!
Put the air suspension on the Winnebago and run servos and cantilevers on the ramp truck suspension.
RC the Winnebago!
dude you inspired me to do the same i am changeing the fabric color to tiger stripe your interor is missing the same as mine
Sometimes old ideas work better on new projects I have to do it all the time. Sometimes I feel like it sucks but I just go for it
If you build wheel tubs with flat floor in between I think that would give you a place to mount shocks. As for the ramp truck , think about looking at manufactured cantilever sets.
this would be sick on airbags
What about shortening the width of the front axle? Would that solve the steering problem?
Capo rc are developing there own airride, with the skills you possess you could possibly make it work, look into it
If your gonna cut the floor, just bolt the links right to the floor, that would be a cool truck to try to replicate in styrene!
Wow, so pretty.
Bus! I am so interested in it.
I want to make a nice car like you.
I was wondering if you knew the wheel base from the front axel to the back
Wheelbase is 13” center to center
The rc4wd low pro tires will drop it down a bit and look cool
You should put the air ride system on it. That's gonna look sick with bags!
This would be a lot better as an air ride setup then the truck. Have you tried using servos to adjust the height for the truck?
Can you tell me something about the little blue-green rod at 0:26?
It is late 90's reproduction (by Nylint brand) of the old Rodzy Racer tether car. i thought I had a video up on chopped toys channel but I dont, may have to do one on it. Thanks, never heard of the chopped toys channel before. I have to check that out soon. Does this mean the car has a nitro engine?
The reproduction one just has a dummy engine. The originals have a functional one. Google thimble drone racing. Tons of history on them. Tiny little gas engines.

frame rails from a tamiya semi would work great. air ride, get its own setup!
Новая жизнь старой железки! Жду продолжения!
Air ride wood be way cooler on this!!!
Are you sure the air ride could even lift the all steel body?
I can't say anything more than what others told you, I do think air ride is the way to go🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🆒😎👍👍👍👍
What light/lights are you using to light up the scale garage?
I use an old commercial grade magnifying work light that I can move around. No idea of the brand.
Bag it bro. I just remixed my Tonka a week ago. Will be watching. May do a small video so you can check out my W. Great start and idea.
Could you have done a more "traditional" body drop by moving the chassis pan upward?
It was possible but I would have completely had to cut up the interior to try and make it work.
@@RCeveryday I just thought it would leave a lot of room underneath for the rc parts.
That is awesome
Air ride 🤷🏼♂️ of course 😁👍🏻
you know you are going to use the air ride system on it :o)
There you go start talking about fabricating sheet metal all that don't waste your money on those prefab trailers make your own it makes it so cool...
The Capo air suspension would be cool in that. I think it would definitely lift it. RCSparks just put it in his all metal Jeep jk
Very Cool!
I'm not sure the air ride can handle the weight of the tonka. I have one and that thing is HEAVY! But it would be awesome😁
Capo has new air ride suspension
Just do servos to change ride height just do cantilever setup on Servos
Just got one from EBay $75 with free shipping. There is a 1"×1" hole on the roof, but I don't mind.
Try the the new capo air system . You got lots of room for it . I bet its $200
Take the Air ride! Then you could steer and tackle a slight incline.
What is the model or part number of the model of the semi truck from tamiya that you had used for the front axle only? And what scale of semi truck was it from 1/14 scale?
All of the tamiya 1/14 semi trucks have the same front axle. Integy makes some cheaper as well.
Sweet thank you so much I’m about to slam my tonka winniebago camper and install a water cooled nitro engine in it. You’re build is really awesome gave me a lot of ideas and inspiration
My vote is BAG IT!!!!!!!!
That thing is sweet! What years were those Winnys? I'd love to do something like that in full scale.
That is so cool
That is killer
Hey man just a idea tamiya makes option parts for scania truck air suspension set eBay has them I will send you the link if interested
If you don’t go with air ride why not just solid mount the axels using some 1/10 scale U bolts? Running it that low there really isn’t much point having suspension as it’s not going to do anything.
Put the proairrc kit on this instead of the ramp truck, the ramp truck doesnt really need it as much as this does
It looks like the bus in pubg mobile🤣🤣
Steal air ride from ramp truck it would be sweet man
Lol no finish the ramp truck
BAG IT!
I just cut the rivets out from the bottom
Go air ride, it would look 100% better for the RV project.
Pro air the RC4WD ford raptor
You've got to do a poll and then you will have your answer man
Yes.... Bagged Bitchin Winnebago
Bag it!
yours is as rusty as my frist one that i am going as a low rider i am useing 1/10 scale rc wheels
