I have just been diagnosed as being Type 1 and Type 2. I was also told by the same Endocrinologist that a 6.2 A1C means nothing and that I should see a Dietician. When I ask him why he said because my sugar is up and down. My next question to him was how can he tell and he said he has been monitoring my Dexcom G6 daily. We then got into an argument about how the Dexcom G6 is not accurate and it rarely gives the same readings as my One Touch Ultra. I told him I get readings from the Dexcom G6 of 51mg/dl and when I prick my finger I get a reading of 120+/- and am pricking my finger 5-8 times a day because of False readings from the Dexcom G6. He then told me the Dexcom G7 is more accurate. I questioned how something could be "more accurate". That was it he kicked me out of his office and told me if I didn't leave he was calling the police. He has since left the Practice. Not all Doctors Graduated at the Top of their Class!
