The Well of Barhout in Yemen was explored by an Omani Cave expedition in 2021. It is 367 feet/112 metres deep & has 4 waterfalls! Wikipedia has details.
I immediately looked it up and was disappointed by his research. A simple Google search found me the answer that he either didn't try to look for or ignored
I recall my dad saying that during WW2, they shut off the fountains in Rome.He also said there were a few that still continued to flow, because they never could find the source of the water.
Crazy that snakes are thriving down there .... never been so early for a video posted 6 min ago 😂 but I love you and thank you for something to watch while I eat dinner 😎
I don't remember the specifics, but Mr.Ballen told a story about a guy who repelled into one of these cave holes and wound up covered in spiders that were covering the walls. Nevermind the risk of falling, I'd have a heart attack!!
Thank you for video as always! Can you explore not so popular, but existed cultures? For example, Cucuteni-Trypillya of Romania and Ukraine. About their cities and so on. Or maybe about no so well-known for masses cultures existed in Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia.
Strange phenomenon and odors coming from a deep dark chasm that no one can explain.... From your description...my ex-wife also has a strange mysterious ancient hole
I have never heard of cave pearls before watching this video. I am now compelled to stop working and spend the next hour looking up information about them.
RE The Band Of Holes - Is there any evidence in the area of settlement, fortification or large scale conflict? I pose the question as one use that struck me (admittedly out of nowhere, as my knowledge of the area's history in non-existent!) was that they may have been a defensive measure in the form of fire pits, arranged to form a wall of fire against opposing armies that was still relatively easy to manage in terms of fuel. Just an idle thought.
I wish there was more info on the ecosystem found inside that Yemen sinkhole. I wanna know if the snakes and everything else are unique to only that hole and you'd think stuff was thrown in over the millennia but they may have turned into floor with all the minerals deposited from the waterfalls. I mainly wanna know what lives down there.
Only thing strong enough to cut granite is diamonds. Diamonds imbedded in steel blades, diamonds imbedded in circular polishing pads, diamond imbedded in the top of drill bits....water jets with a mixture of water sand and diamonds is what makes your granite counter tops at least... Egypt and Italy have some of the best and most fascinating stone work in the world
@@paladro scratches it. Some stones are softer than other ie marble is softer than granite. Metal can chip it but not cut it. To get perfect circles like I'm video they used diamonds some how, well at least that is how we do it now. So who really knows how they did it then. I suppose anything harder than granite could cut it but to my knowledge the only thing harder is diamonds
6:15 Bullshit! Sonic drill tubes were used to drill holes into granite. Can even cut granite with copper tubes, since you're not "cutting" anything with it, hey're high frequency jackhammers. You can see the tooling grooves on almost any ancient stone drill holes, since sonic drills will chip away in layers, leaving the "rings" along the insides of the holes and outside of the stone cores removed from the tubes.
Love your channels but that section on the Egyptian core drills was pretty flimsy. You used a picture of Chris Dunn testing the Petry core in the British Museum with string wrapped around the grooves to show they are one continuous groove but said nothing of its significance. The fact that the cores have Unbroken Spiral Grooves is the entire point of the controversy. For such a groove to be evidenced in the stone means that more energy or force per rotation than we can preform today was employed consistently and routinely. If we were to even come close with our tools today we would have to add multiple tons of weight bearing down on the drill bit as it worked, and that creates an engineering can of worms.
The craziest thing to me is that the cinotes (holes in the ground) were made by the Earth boiling after the asteroid impact that mostly killed the dinosaurs. 🦖
Recently read a few of Flinders Petrie's original field reports, fascinating stuff, takes you back to another time and place, highly recommend his writings on tomb explorations.
I’ve been a Dark 5 fan for YEARS. I wonder though… Is there a single person behind Dark 5? Is there a team? Is the narrator just a voice actor or the brain behind the operation? I’d love a deep dive into the inner workings of the Dark 5 universe.

Sorry to comment on this - but are you speeding up your voice overs? If I play this at normal speed it seems as if the words blend into each other (like when you speed up a little on YT). At 0.75 it is like "normal" talking tempo. However, great content, thx!
I'm surprised you didn't mention the geological significance of The Sacred Cenote... It's one of many cenotes, dotting the Yucatan Peninsula that, when viewed from above, form an almost perfect radial arch; the rim of a massive impact crater. It was left by the Chicxulub Meteor that crashed 66 million years ago, triggering a mass extinction that wiped out 80% of species, including most of the dinosaurs.
Hand drills definitely isn't what created those ancient Egyptian drill holes... It would've had to be POWER DRILLS. the drill bit would have to be spinning significantly faster than anyone could spin a hand drill in order to create perfect drill holes in granite stone. And what material would they have used on the drills? Bc copper, which mainstream "scholars"(indoctrinated ppl) say is the only metal tools ancient Egyptians had, is not hard enough to drill into granite --- it's impossible. So it 100% HAD TO BE a non-copper metal power drill that created these holes. Anything else is physically impossible.
When I seen the title of this video,it was like I became both Beavis and Butt-Head welded into one dude.
