Yes mate a bit too big. I really like the look of this one but there was just too many small things about it that i couldnt get on with that meant it's not staying in my collection
It;s a great looking model. I find on the Ani-Digi G Shocks I own. I think the lights are geared towards illuminating the hands rather than the digital display. That's why they use LEDs over a backlight. There are a few that use both but I own around seven or eight ani-digi G Shocks that only have an LED lighting up the dial. The strictly digital all have backlights.
I probably got spoilt with my previous G shock as that had a twin LED back-light but I stick by what I said about this one the back-light was poor. I think though that the thing that put me off of keeping this one was the negative display for some reason this one was exceptionally hard to see. Thanks for watching mate....
The main thing to bear in mind with this one is that it is very big & it sits quite tall on the wist, & the negative digital display can be quite hard to see in some lights. But it is still a good watch as all G shock's are
I like the looks a lot...but as u mentioned it is quite big..m a 6'2 guy will it fit me well ?? Or do you have anything better in mind...plz guide me man ...
@ashpunk tv well I cant tell you what one to get but what I would say is to measure the circumference of your wrist if its 7½" or above this one should suit you well, other than that I did have the GA2000 which I thought was a better looking watch not quite as tall when you're wearing it plus the strap is easily interchangeable I did a review of that one i while back if you go into the playlists section on my channel & find the playlist for Casio you'll find it in there. Hope that helps mate 👍
Nice looking but always found the 5610 modules more legible and have a futureric /retro feel, the hour and minutes have while large and easy to see at a glance, I want to know the current time and not misread the dial and get the wrong info, had the ga 2000 but felt cheap and "plasticy" I know funny, yeah the carbon core structure left me wanting for more it made it feel like a kids toy , while the metal g shocks are heavy but remi d you your wearing your watch and not a plastic band that is light as a feather.
I have to agree the legibility on this one is not the best, I'm also not too keen on the negative display elements too hard to see in some lighting. I had the GA2000 carbon core as well there's a review of one on my channel from a while ago. I did like the aesthetic of it, but yes, it is a bit plasticy. But thats the great thing with G shocks something for all tastes & budget's.
Just bought the g shock gbx 100 in black a retro flavour that has new tech , great watch, just bought a friend a citizen diver a dramatic departure from his casio edifice bluetooth racing watch tastes . Just saw a metal g shock line but felt it didn't resonate with what g shock felt to me, a working person wtch that can take a knock or two while being able to wear anywhere. Hope g shock doesn't move too upmarket , looks that wont change and thier classics fade with time.
The gbx100 does look like an interesting piece. I will be looking to get of them in for review at some point. Citizen do make some very good dive watches, that was a good choice & a generous gift I'm sure it will last for many years.
The colour is great i really like the look of it just too big....haha I bet you never thought you would hear me say that!😅 One of the other styles is in the casioak I'm not sure if there's a colour match for this one but if you're looking specifically for a "hidden coast" thats the HC part of the ref number if that's any help mate.
it does look like a shit kicker for sure....the size would be either at my limit or potentially too big....however the deal breaker is Ani-Dig, I'm an either or chap can't do both....great review though matey....🏴⌚🏴⌚
Ah the an digi thing I don't mind both but the digi on this one is so hard to see. I think the size of this one is probably deceptive because of how thick it is, in hindsight for me that was the issue not the case diameter it was too tall.
Great looking watch but the strap and shoulder set up is same old same old. Function like an old Nokia never changes. I've seen better negative display on other models.
Thats a great analogy like an old Nokia....& that negative display I don't understand why this one was so hard to read, as you said there's better negative displays.
Thanks mate, your review made my decision for me ol man....G'day from the land down under.
Thanks mate 👍 appreciate you watching. good to know the video was of use.
Wow. It is big but also very cool. Check out those hands

Nicely done review mate, I think I really like the colour of this one, do you know if they do the same colour on different versions?
The colour is great i really like the look of it just too big....haha I bet you never thought you would hear me say that!😅
