Hi because i tend to put my bucket in 1 spot and then walk around looking for worms i carry about 25 worms in my fingers when pumping i tend to use the lower part of my palm not gripping the handle as you only need a light bit of pressure while pumping i hope this helps

    • @hastingsangler

Hi it all depends on how hard the sand is there that could be the reason why they dig with a spade or a fork we get a lot of diggers travel down to Dungeness ,Pett and Hastings good luck and thanks for posting

Spotted Mt.. Top job.. Eight tides on the trot with doubles lol.. Dedication,.. Mega worms.. . The go pro sounds like some evil demon sniffing out the worm blood.. I'm new to fishing n in Hastings so good to find your channel.. I was told bigger the cast bigger the worm.. lol.. Went digging for the First time this morning... Hard slog but fun... .. Every big cast tiny worm tiny cast massive big ass fatties... Huh !! Must get a bait pump, def gonna be easier.. 90 quid for stainless steel 22mill in Shop.. How much is it roughly, to build one like yours ?? Cheers.. Never used one can't wait... So satisfying digging out the worms this morning, at low tide... Use your own worms to go fishing High tide n going out... Filleting n cooking plaice for tea ... Yum Good day.... All learnt from you tube... Great channel.. They all know you in the shop...
Any info on how to fish over the rocky ground at rock-a-nor... Floats rig etc...cheers Mt..

Hi it sounds like you had a a good day down on sand i love it early morning sunrises and plentry of worms cant beat it lol the parts for the part are really cheap if built in copper the hardest part is making the shaft and threading the end. the lads down the tackle shop are a good bunch. As for fishing rock-a-nor if you go down on low tide your see theres a little sandy patch that runs through the middle not fished it in years tightlines👍👍👍

Hi just a quick question lol 😂
Went down to Dungeness in front of the RNL station today, but only managed 4 worms ? And I chopped a few just ended up with the tail ? I have a 8” mark on my pump ? Does the weather make it any harder when it is raining and a bit of wind ?
Sorry for the big question 😁😂
      Thanks
      Jay

@@hastingsangler thank you I can't wait to try it out when I first made it I used the 22mm for the pump and 15mm for the plunger bit using a rawl bolt to put your seals on. But since I've seen your video making yours I've kept the 22mm but replaced the 15mm with 6mm steel rod, I've seen how other ppl use their pumps and they have great results after watching yourself pumping worms makes it look so easy thanks again for sharing 👍🎣🎣
