Ok, it’s been 9 months, enough time for a baby to fully develop… lol. so- how has your champion progression been? I’m a newer player in gold, but most my friends are plats and a couple are diamonds.. I’m tryna get a better understanding of how long it takes once reaching levels above diamond

Let them go for the ball and u play defensive :)
You're not allowed to do any of that "control the ball" stuff these youtubers recommend instead of hitting away because teammate says screw that and will cut in front to take the ball if you don't go at it instantly or they'll hit it out of your control. Diamond and still stupid as hell.

Wow, I honestly have just recently been placing diamond 1 consistently (both in 2s and 3s) but going further is much more difficult. These points of focus are going to help me out quite a bit in my progression through diamond. Thanks!

You don’t actually need a fast kick off in order to win kick off a lot. It’s actually much more important that you focus on being able to control you 50s because that’s what determines where the ball is going to go. I can consistently win kick off‘s against champs and GC‘s and I do a standard kick off. The reason for this is that I understand that getting to the ball first isn’t the most important thing, and a lot of times they will end up losing to 50 because they get to the ball first. As long as you are able to make it to the 50 and are confident in your control, you don’t need to worry about your kick off speed. I mean seriously, having good control over 50s will change the way you’re able to play the game and allow you to start turning what would’ve been a lost 50 into an outfield pass to a teammate.

@@jpforthreee Yeah definitely. Last season my peak was 1797 mmr so this season I'll sit around GC2-GC3 or so. And yes on Steam.

I wanna say that I practiced freestyling in plat 2 for fun, but it actually helped my mechanics and got me into diamond 2.

Just got diamond 2 in 2v2s and diamond 1 in 1v1s so im going to try and utilise these tips on to get to champ.

What dominus decal is that?
is it normal to find champs abd diamonds in plat 1 1v1 lobbies. I'm literally d3 in 2v2s but it doesnt make sense to find champs in 1v1 plat 1 lobbies so i cant really rank up can somebody tell me if it s normal or nah?
I took the 1v1 advice way too hard I am now diamond 2 in 1s and gold 3 in 3s lol
I just hit diamond today and this helped alot
A tip for backboard reads is you can into freeplay and go onto the backboard and press the pass ball button.

I used to be champ for 2 or 3 seasons but I stopped playing and when I came back I was stuck between d1 and d3

Hard stuck at Diamond 3 div 3 now any advice
I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong I don’t get it. My mechanics are amazing they’re at least champ level and I feel like I’m rotating right I just don’t get what I’m doing wrong at all. I can’t take it anymore it’s too frustrating to handle.
So, I have negative consistency. Consistently is pretty much the only thing holding me back from *STAYING* in diamond. How long of a warmup do you think I should do each rocket league session? Do I repeat shots in custom training? Usually I will go for a shot about 10-15 times until it’s consistent then move on to the next shot. However, some warmups have like 40 shots in it. I think this makes sense, idk though, let me know what you think I could do to improve my consistency and decision making. I can rotate well, and I have the IQ of at the very least a champ, but my consistency nullifies my IQ.
Warmup is definitely important. I recommend just driving around in free play working on speed and recoveries for maybe 10-15 minutes and then doing custom training like you said for maybe another 10-30 minutes depending on how much you feel like you need to improve. Work on mastering and getting consistent at the basics, don’t focus on stuff like flip resets or air dribbles - power shots with good placement are more important

Really wish those maps were one console too. They seem fun and effective! Just got into diamond and i’m iffy on my shots.
I agree. Hopefully at some point they figure out a way to offer the workshop maps for console players as well. For the moment be sure to use custom training packs for shot consistency! Let me know how you go

diamond 2/3 in 2s struggling to get out
I was in plat for about a year on Xbox but I just recently switched to pc. Instantly hit diamond. Which explains that it is all in your head. You’re welcome.
yeah i got a pc with a 75hz monitor, even though its only 15 extra fps, i hit diamond 3 in 1s after being stuck in d2 for a month :D
i'm struggling to get from c1 to c2. Its pretty easy for me to get from c1 to c2, but the opponents are all way faster there :/ (i always immedialy rank down..) Do you have some tips to grind further into champ?

What sensitivity should I have with 0.15 dead zone?? pls reply
I use KBM so unfortunately I'm not too sure what settings are best, although I believe some top players use 1.75 sensitivity so I'd start from there!

I’m a freestyler and ever since gold 1 I started freestyle and even though it does sort of help ranking up that’s not it when I learned to freestyle I learned to have more control of the ball car control and awareness

What happened to the summary I need to right it down to apply it to my gameplay
I removed the summary as very, very few people stuck around for it and instead replaced it with the summary on the left hand side of the screen. If you want to write it down try and think about the most important sentence to summarise each of the points listed on the left side.

Is ground shots a good training for diamond?
Absolutely! At diamond you really can practice anything, although I wouldn’t focus on advanced mechanics like flip resets and air dribbles etc.
