BTW guys, the talk about the "pass" terminology on False Echo is a bit misleading when you refer to Inside Job and Femme's ability to bypass, since Falce Echo states unrezzed ice and the bypass abilities are for rezzed ice! Anyway, keep up the good job! I am really enjoying your unboxing videos! Greetings from Greece.
I'm sure he wasn't completely serious, but with the click required to host pawn, there'd be no benefit on trying to use it with exile to draw cards when you could just use that click to draw a card. Now, when Deep Red comes out, there might be something there to look into.
You can play around trashing subroutines without having any breakers. You can't, however, reasonably play around trashing while having other stuff installed - which is what you implied with "I take care of sentries last". The way we play here is just like that - i'd bait you into installing a fracter/decoder, then run you through a trash program, THEN score my agenda :) I'm just saying that when you're running with two breakers, one of them NEEDS to be a killer, otherwise you could get screwed.
Great video, just one thing that really made me raise my eyebrow - "Sentry is usually the last thing to break with". If you really believe that, you must be really lucky at facechecking ice.... since right now, every single sufficiently nasty effect that a rezzed ice could have that can't be avoided as long as you're running with a spare click and 2 credits is on a sentry. (Wall of Thorns... but I'll gladly take 2 damage to make you pay 8 credits - Vamp wishes it could do that :D)
Motivation is actually kinda good in Exile for finding your clone chips. Since you are using Test Run and Self Modifing Code as tutors, you can check the top of your deck before you shuffle to see if you need it. And since you have no way to tutor your clone chips and they are soooo imortant to the deck, shuffling one away can cost you the game.
False Echo might be nice for Laramy Fisk. Corp has 5 cards, force him to draw 1, use false echo and then mandatory draw next turn. Corp might have to discard 3 cards next turn, especially if they want to use a melange right now.
You guys are killing me, not physically. But my last ounces of resistance to getting into Netrunner are melting away quicker than the Arctic ice cap. I'm getting caught up in AGoT, Star Wars LCG and X-Wing so might have some funds to start something in Netrunner. Fantasy Flight needs to start paying Jonathan and the rest of you for such great video posts.
Splashabe means you can easily put this in an out of faction deck. For instance escher is not a bad card, but you would rarely splash it cause its 5 inf out of faction, while datasucker is really strong, not only for anarch, and "cheap" at only one inf.
I feel like the only factions that didn't get some thing down right amazing for them are HB and Shaper, but they got C&C so it's okay ^^ plus I love seeing your guy's ideas on some cards, like playing pawn with Exile was a hilarious idea, though I don't think it would work as you'd have to spend a click to put pawn on an ice. if you didn't you could pawn for a pawn and get a free card every couple runs... can't wait to get the new anarch caïssa console and try it with pawn in Exile
The Professor is a runner and Jackson Howard is a corp card. So no reason to feel sorry for the old man. I do agree that Mister Jackson is a near auto-include and will likely stay that way for some time. He's just so darn flexible!
The only advantage seen so far with Frame Job is Blackmail (If the corp has bad publicity, make a run where the corp cannot rez ice) from Fear & Loathing - they'll probably release more cards to punish bad publicity. Figures that they'd release cards where their combo options are in another data pack :/
I think Celebrity Gift WILL be amazing, but in Replicating Perfection deck, where you are running 18-20 walls and 3 or 4 of the cards you will show him will be that. Maybe flash a whirlpool or too, with a Midori, so he shit his pants and gears up next 2 turns before running into the centrals. Maybe it's because I'm playing constantly against a good shaper player, returns his deck 2-3 times a game( clone chip+deus ex as well), but showing him if I have a secretery in my hand or not, is a big deal.
Have you played any games as or against this archetype? I'm having trouble believing it's very successful (and I'd love to watch another of your videos).
How come you guys haven't done a Second Thoughts unboxing yet? At first, I'd understand because of Worlds, but it's been out for about a week and a half now.
The reason you forfeit agendas is if you are a runner mill deck. You want to win by destroying the corps deck, not by scoring 7 points. In those decks, getting credits for agendas you scor easily with data dealer/frame job is great.
26 hours without sleep. I should go through the deck I was messing with to make sure that NBN isn't trying to run Stimhack to steal agendas from itself...
Okey, I was waiting a lot to hear your opinion of Celebrity Gift. I think a lot of players are overestimating this card. You pay TWO clicks and 3 credits, FOR 7 credits. So it's REAL worth is 6,because you could spent the second click taking 1 credit! Showing your hand is another thing. In a Personal Evolution Jinteki, the less options they account for, the better for me. Yes they could c June/Agenda/Ronin, but a good player would account for the card being that prior to running in it.
I think Jackson Howard is FFs gift to corps to try and even up the win/loss gap. 1 influence points to them WANTING it to appear all over. It doesn't win any games by itself, but it boosts every corp by allowing you to use your best cards again, while increasing the corps action advantage (the action compression theory the gen-con winner used to design his deck). Hopefully they didn't over-do it, he seems like a must include in nearly every deck. Sorry professor, you only get 1 :*(
With the light/friendly atmosphere, frequent jokes and laughter, this was a pleasure to watch. I surprised myself and stayed for the whole video.

Himitsu-Bako is also a Caissa killer/deadend. The corp can wreck any caissa on it for 1 credit.

I've been wait for this video for so long! I love listening to you guys talk about the new cards! :-D

There are people in New York who have made it work. It's not a tournament winner, but it's way better than you would expect.

"Splashable" means adding it to an out of faction deck. Like Andromeda might "splash" a Datasucker.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY. Netrunner goodness !! I'm actually getting POP-corn for this one !

I'm just gonna suggest eureka as a possible use for motivation. You'll never whiff.

Steven, around 2:03, what is "fetal hurt you." Maybe I heard that wrong and you said feel to hurt you?
"So you're saying there's a chance." hahaha nice one
HB got Howard, you can find 3 influence to put 3 of him in, I promise.
Certain cards have lower Influence costs, so are easier to put in decks of opposing factions.
Sometimes I had the impression you had a couple of drinks before shooting this. CONFESS. Did you, or were you just tired? Great episode btw. :)

Lol, thought it referred to an error in it's infancy which became bigger later and became a critical problem.
Good Call with Jinteki and agendas. Now with Medical breakthough frame job gains alittle more muscle.
Shi Kyu. That's all i can say. Data Dealer also got a lot better all of a sudden.
+Gnarrkhaz And fan site, and News team.
Ha! What's NEXT?
I am disappointed Steven didn't actually read the Professor quote...
Pawn Card.... Would like to see a demo on this card...listening to it confuses me.
Well, the Spin Cycle did come out after Dirty Laundry...
1. Pause at :37
2. Look at Tim's face
Aww, yiss!
Uh, most likely high.
