Hey Andrea, I hope that your having a good weekend my friend. This orchid doesn’t come up for sale that often but when I seen this one for sale I had to get it. I don’t really know if it will grow well under my care and growing conditions but im going to try. I really appreciate you watching my videos and supporting my channel. I will post videos on how this orchid is doing in the future. Maybe I won’t kill it 😁

Soooo lovely and I would repot in fresh media! You don't need vagabonds crawling to other orchids!! My personal rule, repot while still in shock my experience is they recover quicker and better the roots take off......haven't had bugs all year in the greenhouse!! Just got one of my wish list orchid yesterday, what a coincidence Justin it's from the same area. .the Papilio in alba form....

Hey Kathleen, I do think your right on going ahead and doing what I need to do to reset the orchid to my growing conditions. I might actually work on that orchid tomorrow. Oh you got a Papilio Alba form.. Very nice one, rare and choice. Well I hope that it grows well for you. Those orchids can be very picky but I hope that yours grows well for you. I’m sure you well grow it well my friend.

Love this one, not easy to find. I grow mine in a mix of fine-medium bark, charcoal, coco husk and pumice. It grows wonderfully in this mix.

Your exactly right this isn’t an easy on to find. I’ve been looking for a decent division for some time now. I really like the medium that your using, sounds perfect for this orchid. Once mine gets adjusted to my growing conditions I want to repot it and you just gave me some really good advice. Is yours a mature plant? Growing in what size pot? I’m curious..

@@justinsorchidsandmore4398 I've got a 3-bulb division, blooming size but bulbs still smaller than yours. It's growing in a 10 inch pot but it's accompanied by Epidendrum melanoporphyreum and Monstera delisiosa 'borsigiana albo variegata'. Since yours is quite a mature bulb and because it's a terrestrial with a large root system, I would go for a 4-5 inch pot that's at least the same dept.

Love when you grab a wishlist orchid, isn’t it just the best? I’m sure with some live and care it’ll be just fine. Maybe keep it inside this year to keep it warmer? Then put it in the greenhouse next summer

This type keep away from heavy rain. That's it. ☺️ Generally they bloom on August in Sri Lanka. But don't know how is at your country ☺️ happy planting ❤

I've only seen pictures of this plants flower, will be nice to see when yours blooms.
I checked back with Orchid Classics and they have Phalaenopsis Summer Rose back in stock. I ordered that one and a mini yellow Phal. They just shipped today. Hope you and yours are doing well. 🌞🌾

Peristeria, like Lycaste and Catasetinae, you have to be very careful about when you repot them. I'm not sure when Peristeria starts to grow the new roots, but I'm guessing they have already started on it. They are, if I'm not mistaken, similar to Lycaste and Paphiopedilum roots, being brown and fuzzy (except the growing tip) and really, really fragile, they snap easily. So proceed with caution. But a very cool plant and can't wait to see it in flower next year!

Hey Michael, I didn’t say this in the video but I wasn’t exactly happy with the condition of this orchid…But I didn’t pay that much for it and I’m not going to mess with it right now because I just want it to get used to my growing conditions. But it’s always been on my want list and I do hope that I can get it growing healthy at some point. I’ve read your comment several times and like always, you know that I’m going to take your advice bud. So for right now I’m going to leave it alone. @@justinsorchidsandmore4398 I watched youtube videos where they put them in dirt other videos they put them in some strange mix and the nursery I got it from told me to just put it in bark and keep it on the wet side. Orchids 😁 (I will try it again someday)
