- Hi everyone! In today’s video I discuss what to do with broken off hair at the crown! How to reduce all the puffiness from all those short pieces and make the hair at the bottom thicker. It’s a fix that can basically be done overnight and can last until your hair grows back. I make sure to tell you how you can make it extra affordable so make sure to watch the video all the way through so you don’t miss anything! This was me. My hair was my pride. I struggled a whole year and watched my hair slowly break off because a hair stylist botched a root touch up. I would wear my hair in a pony tail all the time and feel so freaking ugly until I’ve had enough and I just gave myself a 80s inspired wolf cut.

I’m so sorry that sucks! It’s the worst bc I think aside from a terrible color the hardest thing to hide is broken hair at the crown. I always try to find a fix for everything and it was the one thing that had me feeling so defeated. I was like I just have to wear a hat bc a) I’ll hide it b) because I’m wearing a hat I won’t heat style it so it’ll grow quicker. It was my only solution. It’ll get better and grow! Just don’t look at it🥴

1. So many hotties have big foreheads! Rihanna, Chloe morello here on youtube has literally said she owns it and loves it. So it’s no biggie! If you really don’t like it, it’s not something a little forehead contour w some bronzer won’t fix. Hair breakage grows back and extra weight can easily come off or not if you don’t want it to. All things that aren’t a big deal / are fixable. People always talk crap about and bully the people who stand out and are unique looking and those are always the people that grow up to be super hot. Ignore everyone! People always have something to say! Even if someone appears to be so hot and have nothing to “bully” ppl will find something or make it up if they have to! Remember the quote “you could be the juiciest, ripest, peach in the world and there’s still going to be someone who hates peaches”. 😉❤️

Sigh.... I changed my hair color like 4 times in a year and now I am paying the consequences. Horrible choppy layers, face framing breakage, lost sooo many inches 😩 but I am now getting regular trims, and it’s close to my natural color so it can grow

I used both to wash and condition my hair and after i towel dried i put Tresemme keratin smooth , and i can comb my hair, it went down just like u said. THANK YOUUU ♥️😘

I've been googling so much what to do about my hair breakage. It's mainly at the part of my hair towards the back of my crown because whenever I workout or go to bed I would put it up in a bun, on top of that I've been getting semi permanent color to cover my premature grey strands every other month or every 3 months, to make things worse since I workout in the morning before work I use to use the blow dryer on my soaking wet hair on a high heat setting (I stopped that and I use a lower setting and I air dry it a little before i use the dryer) and to put the cherry on top of everything I use to yank out my premature grey strands :) so now I'm left with little short hairs growing back at the top of my crown and I'm just trying to figure out how I can fix it. This video helped a lot.
I’m happy I could help! Did you try googling halo extensions and hair topper extensions? Just temporary fixes while your hair grows back? Also, transition to silk hair ties if you haven’t already! 💕

Y’all are lucky. My hair is about 1- 2 inches at the crown and sticking straight up. Im in tears. No salon around here can apparently give me what I had been HEALTHILY GETTING DONE FOR 4 YEARS…. So I bleached my hair myself. Im in absolute tears. The only thing I can do is slick my hair down with gel and clip it in place. I want to stay blonde but I think I need to give it a break and I’m devastated.

Hi Dana, Thanks for the video. I did the exact same and my hair broke off at about 6-7" at crown back in Dec 2019. It is now July 2020 and my hair just keeps breaking so any new growth is not noticeable. Can I ask how long it took you to grow out? This is depressing me soooo much!
I’m dealing with the same! As soon as I notice it growing, it starts to snap off higher again and I’m not using heat or colour for 10 months!!! 😭

I saw this on Tik tok. Boil Dry or Fresh Rosemary boil in 1 and 1/2 cups of water. Let it cool add to your shampoo it’s for growth. It really works I can see the growth already. I went to a salon she bleached my hair so much that it’s breaking. I have been putting it up since she did my hair bc it’s breaking dry and ugly.

One day i have bleached my roots at home and now i have the same haircut,
i was polar grey hair and now i colored my hair red for hide my broken hair ( it's okay because this is a color i really wanted before the blond )
I went through chemo and I tried saving my hair with a cooling cap .. Post chemo my whole entire crown broke off .. It looked just like yours did .. I think I would be nervous to do the keritin treatment t on the crown , what if it damages it more ? Where are you located, I wish I could go to the same salon for help .
so what ive done now and really helped is: i cut the sides of my head up to the thickest point (i cut the part that was stringy and so thin you couldnt even see it) which is at the level of my ear and then i cut the rest of it shoulder length to even out the length difference and it looks decent enough im happy with it just waiting for the sides to grow out now :D hopefully the sides will be chin length by Christmas :D

Hi! Can you recommend a substitute for the Aveeno Pure Renewal Shampoo? I just found your video, but the shampoo has been discontinued.
This is me I’m so thankful I’m not alone too I was just thinking that. My hair broke off at the crown in October 2020 I bleached it colored it then toned it all in the same day in august I got permanent color blonde on my prior blonde pieces and this was august 2020, it has been falling out slowly I have hair to my mid back on back of my head on the bottom and 5” all around the top of my head, I assume that’s why it broke off cause the beach touched the permanent dyed pieces. I do know if you don’t all color and close the cuticle after the dye had washed out 8-10 weeks it can break off cause it’s left open (I went to Aveda) but honestly Do we know why our hair is doing this ? I haven’t styled it in almost a year in august I am taking biotin every other day and not adding heat at all just been wearing it up I can’t style it I have a really bad grow out my tips are blonde my roots are dark brown and just literally a super 80s mullet I just want to cry

This happened to me but the breakage happened from chemotherapy this year. It looks like I have a mullet and I never felt so self conscious 😓 the whole crown at the back of my hair is so short and broken. Makes it look like a big dip in my head because there is no hair anymore 😭

My hair breakage isnt that noticable until you look at my roots. Especially at the front. I have so many small pieces of hair because it tends to break of there. My hair gets tangled so easily and I have worn my hair down for so long now because I cant even get a ponytail without it being tangled as heck.

I have my first over processed hot mess hair from bleach a few months ago. I tried trimming it n ended up cutting too much on the front.the crown is huge and my bangs have 3layers of hair from the emo style. Now my highschool reiioun is coming up in a few months.my small country town doesn't have any salons that even do repairs and clip ons. I have looked into oplex in will be buying it soon. N a week. I need advice on how I can save this mess .I feel so ugly.its happening at the same time as issues with lumps returning n have too have surgery.so my confidence is so low.dont worry I won't be cutting anymore. Everyone has told me about clip INS are the safest bet .but no one is sure that I can get them in the front.i have too let it grow out before I even get it cut again and make it more portionate too my face shape. I have tired masks and hair serious.havnt don't any heat or frying damage in a few months.too I just had this accident two days ago with the bad hair cut. I had a hair band a quarter the way on,wasn't thinking.i was using it too guide me.biggest mistake I ever made.when you have too do it all in the front of your hair and the sides and the length on the back.i need advice.what do I do.

I had great hair until last month when I used micro loop extensions wich I used many many times before but for some reason these ones were in only 2 weeks and somehow got matted up in my hair and when I took them out all of the hair that I had in the loops came out with each extension literally I have billions and billions of sticking up broken hair just disgusting frizzy horrible ends all over my head ! I am so damn upset and I lost so much hair from it but these fly always are insane and look absolutely horrific.idk what to do I get I can slick them down with stuff but isn't there a technique where I can cut just the broken ends off? I seen it in a diff UA-cam video but I don't wanna risk fuckin it up worse lol hair sucks once it's done it's done for awhile.i got a side shave still growing in on one side for 2 years now not even halfway grown back to my normal long length so I'm missing all that hair on one side till it grows back all the way so all my hair cuts come out lop friken sided uneven on that side and I have thinner hair that side I hate it never again will I shave my sides or anything! But I feel the only way to start over is to shave it all I won't do it but my hair is badly damaged and it's very dark so I wanna lighten it a bit but I know my hair can't handle anything more it is already falling out like crazy I need to repair it fast

There should be a self-help group for us dark brunettes who tried to go blonde, like lawdddd. Once I got to a pale yellow my hair was so fried it wouldn't even hold toner. Talk about a mid-life crisis.. Left side of my hair is collarbone long, and last month my aunt thinning out my hair. My aunt thinning out a bit much but i love it. And when i want to tie my hair. I notice some of my side hair so short like 3 inch. It isnt like thinned out hair more like broke off. And yeah my hair was so dry when i ask her to thinned it out and im in strict diet. I don't know if Its broke off or thinned out too much. But my right side is fine. I had a mental breakdown because i want to grown my hair long.
I think its broke off and I felt bad because everyone blame my aunt.

i have a curly hair and i tied it up in a ponytail everyday so the end is sticking out i just cringed also i have a really thick hair i heard you can use those comb like scissors but when i do that , the thick part is still sticking out help

My hair looks like this, and I don't use heat, have never colored/bleached/treated it, I don't use regular elastics , and I sleep in as satin bonnet. My hair is curly/wavy btw (the long pieces are wavy, short pieces are tiny spirals, so they stick out a TON). Someone please help me prevent this from worsening/ figure out why this is happening?
also I don't use shampoo with sulfates, sillicones, alcohol, none of that stuff.
I'm late to this, but never using a shampoo with sulfates can actually damage your scalp due to the build up. We need to clarify our hair with a stronger shampoo 1-2 times a month and maybe even more depending on your hair type and how much build up you get. Is your hair in any better state now?
I got my hair cut into a pixie but it was longer on top. When it started to grow out the sides grew out faster so the bottom back layer of my hair is shoulder length but the top layer is chin length now but my mom hasn't made an appointment yet and I need it cut again. But yeah it looks like yours did almost because the way it waves up:(

Not flat flat but all the damaged ends will smooth out and it wont look like mop. You will be able to brush it and not do more damage to the hair.
I literally dealing with extreme breakage rn , my right side of my hair is fine some of the very top is broken down to like 3 inches and then my left side ooooofff it’s bad . My hair is past my collar bones and well my left side is mostly 3 inches and then long. I’m having a mental break down and don’t know what to do .
Ahhh it’s the worst. Try to leave it alone as much as possible and hide it under hats or whatever you have to do so it can grow out of that phase as quickly as possible 😩

Okay so I had platinum bleach blonde hair last summer. Now it’s fried off and way crazy. Just went to the salon to see if they could fix some of it and the lady ended up giving me a mullet. No fucking lie. A 100% grade A mullet 😭😭

they actually weren’t bad at all. i only had them in for a few months before i was over it because i felt insecure about them showing whenever it was windy out. they def helped when I needed them. took them off myself and had no breakage or damage 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Mine is not fried, I have a rare typend epilepsy and the meds make me lose my hair.. now it’s growing back and it looks just awful🥲

I don't get it, I've never bleached my hair or dyed it, I've never straightened or curled, and I blow dry like once a month, why is my hair on top still like this? I have relatively dry hair if that means anything
me too. but I got a few treatments and that helps. from searching for answers I figured it must be just breaking off before it grows. if your shed hair is shorter than your actual hair it must be just breaking off instead of growing first like mine is. it's hard to fix but it gets better with pratice and trying to keep your hair mostizured from breaking off.

I had this guy cut my hair at a salon he ruined it now I can’t cut it again because the top is shorter than the bottom 😡 now I’m dealing with it by pitting it up everyday .
I have hairs that stick up at the top of my head and the sides to and it’s all my hair pretty much all I want is for my hair to grow back quicker and silky hair the way it use to be I’m so self conscious about it because it looks so bad to me if anyone knows any way I can speed up my hair growing and something to fix this damage a product’ or method I really need it because I miss my old hair and I feel like it’s from the 2 times I dyed it it was just highlights and red temporary dye but they probably caused most of the damage
Massage your scalp with a scalp massager or w your hands every day & aloe Vera juice massaged into the scalp promotes the fastest hair growth that I’ve noticed on myself. Good luck!! It’ll get better ❤️❤️

Ushehehhehddhhehedj I dyed my hair 3 times, and my hair looks like grass. Then my hair started to get moisturized again, but it started to break off and now it looks like I don’t brush my hair even tho I do!
I have that problem, I sleep with plaits in sometimes it helps, just give it time x

ok but that hairdresser didnt have to try and upsell u on fkn tape ins when clip ins literally look and work the same. tape ins are awful bc u cant take hot showers OR sweat bc theyll start tp come apart. youre constantly pushing the wefts back together so they dont fall out and its sticky because the adhesive starts to melt and get gummy.
Just cut my hair today and got a terrible layers and extremely short. I need to watch this to console myself.
