I don't know exactly why but there's something about this song that drives me crazy. When I roll through my hometown on them late nites after work and play this song my whole mindset changes and I just see everything through a different set of eyes. This is definitely one of those songs I can and have listened to on repeat just about everyday since I bought the deluxe edition CD on release day and I still cant get enough of it.

I have some great memories of me & my high school buddies back in 1986-1988, 4x4 pick-ups, coolers of beer, bbq grills, bonfire wood, & Hank Williams Jr blaring thru our speakers heading to our favorite dirt pit here in Mobile Alabama...building a huge bonfire, sitting around & just being best friends drinking beer & talking about our future.
I have some GREAT memories that I love to look back on & laugh about. Life was so easy then...

***** Jake Owen spoke out against the pop country genre yet hes doing it, weird. Hes a great artist though. Artists like Jerrad Neimann and Brantley Gilbert are sad excuses for "country" artists, Jake Owen is way more country than them. Yeah, I agree with the Jason Aldean thing, some of his music is real country and is awesome, but some of his songs suck.

2024 still here
Id like to thank Mr. Moore for using our home town in his videos. This one was filmed at our local high school football field, the football team was the varsity, the Portland Panthers. The school is Portland East Middle, as is the locker room. The gas station was Swifty's, drag race was down Main Street....The coolest part, besides my son being in it at the 3:10 mark, #27, that night was one of the foggiest nights we have had in the past year, really made the mood of the video stand out. Great job by all those involved. and thanks again from all the parents of the players in the video.

Maybe because my grandmother married a native american and my mother's hair is so dark. However she still gave birth to a red head. this isn’t a traditional country song this is country pop. Country pop is a mix of both traditional country and mainstream pop music

I wish I could describe the sentimental value this song has to me. I remember the day, weather, and place I was in. It was April 16th. My father, his friend, my sister and I were going to Oswego NY to pick up my new truck, it was about a 4 out drive from where I live, we took the little mustang all the way up there to trade it in for my superduty. On the way home coming through north east PA I had my head on the glass in the back seat of the extended cab, cramped up in a ball and this song came on, I was staring at the Lackawaxen river and the mountains accompanying it. This song came on, it made me love country music. I was silent through the whole thing, everyone was. It's always meant something to me ever since. It reminds me of my truck, girlfriend, and that day specifically. Thank you Justin, your song made that day one I won't forget
