Blaise Pascal stated that there are three kinds of greatness. The first is superficial, the stuff, or looks or physical prowess. The second is genius, whether in the arts, sciences, mathematics. But the highest and best level of greatness is holiness. And you don’t need any of the characteristics of either of the first two levels to totally outshine them.

Later that night, I started throwing up blood; I really got scared. Before they intubated me, I didn't think about any material thing that I had, but thought of the people I loved. I also prayed. Nothing you buy on this earth will.come with you. It's just going to be you and the Lord.

Those are the important things...God and family. Possessions are nice but without God and family you're still feeling empty.

The things Michael said are good, but they are not enough. It's not enough to say "faith" is important, because everyone has faith--no exception, even atheists have faith. But faith in what or whom!? Michael can believe everything he said in this clip and still go straight to he'll when he dies. I want to hear him talk about his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, then his message will be complete.

Thank you. Been really disappointed with Christian reactions in the comments. Family is not the point of life. It's just another idol. It's an idol we're more comfortable with than the idol of money. But it's an idol nonetheless.
And even generic "faith" is an idol if it's not placed intentionally and specifically in Jesus Christ.

Yes it would be ideal if Michael gave glory to God through Jesus Christ...if he would have explained that Jesus is his Lord and Savior, and that faith in Jesus will bring salvation.... but there are many people who might be scrolling through the internet and they might be Michael Buble fans, and they may not have even stopped to listen to what Pastor Greg had said, had it not been mentioned about Michael Buble and what has happened in his life.He may have the seeds growing in his heart... so we must not be so harsh and judge, because God can Anything to his glory . We must remember pray for those who are seeking and close to coming to know Jesus.

Michael Buble made a lot of sense w/ that statement. There are some very wealthy people who are happy, and some who are absolutely miserable. There are people who are nowhere near rich but still happy, and some who are miserable. What do the happy ones have in common? Faith, family and friends. Those who are miserable lack faith, don't have a good family life, and have hardly any friends. Doesn't matter which end of that spectrum you're on, you will still find yourself hearing that final bell. None of that stuff will matter, then.

No one is denying that ‘stuff’ can give you momentary happiness - we’ve all experienced that after buying something new but that wears off and what do you do then? Buy more stuff to get the same feeling? Your emotional maturity is suspect.
Just look at all the rich so called celebs, who are totally bonkers and full of hate. They have the money but have lost their minds through their misery!
Hopefully as you get older you will understand, unless of course you have the same mentality as the aforementioned group of celebs..

@@EddieMcDonald-b9k It doesn't work like that. You are inferring it would be my fault he went to hell. Then he could blame me, and have an excuse to give God as to why he shouldn't be in hell. You think that'll work? You think God will blame me? You think the only people that come to salvation did so on flowery beds of ease?......never had any obstacles to overcome? Maybe you should go read about the time Jesus called that woman a dog........and it didn't deter her one bit.
People believe or they don't, and nothing you or I do is going to change that, or else we would be held responsible and they would have a legitimate excuse.........and they don't.
The verse goes, "Let you light so shine before men that they may see your good works......AND.....glorify your Father which is in Heaven."
Not "......see your good works and get saved." Many of the lost don't even know what "good works" look like. Jesus' own disciples at first didn't recognize His "good works" of dying on the cross.
Our life lived in faith is for the glory of God......not the redemption of the world. "They have Moses and the prophets. If they will not believe them, neither will they believe if one raised from the dead."

@@robertf3340 Absolutely Germaine to your comment. People have been interviewing celebrities for decades, because it gets an audience. Nobody is going to be interested if you interview regular guys. And I have been following Greg's ministry for forty years. He is a godly man and a great pastor.

What about those who don't have family? It's so easy for the rich and white Caucasian male to speak like this. If they believe this, maybe they should give up all their wealth and homes and cars and money and only rely on the loving family. Then I want them to speak these same words.
