Ha! I've just had a talk with a friend about the Apple airtag on pigeons, and here it is, a video about it. Looks pretty big for a pigeon for now but let's hope for size updates. I was so curious to see the result. To be continued. :)) Keeping fingers crossed so it won't show the location of a hawk nest. 😆
Hello my 12 year old daughter and I are just getting into pigeons about a year ago It amazed us when the cage door accidentally was left open and they all came home! So here we are a year later and we actually moved to a new farm and they came with us Our first baby was born a week ago too Will these-come home if we take them ten miles away? And race? Awesome stuff
Nice to hear about you and your daughter’s adventures with pigeons so far!! Pigeons of nearly all breeds will try to stick around their home. Do you have racing/homing pigeons? If your birds are racing pigeons then should you let them out they will first fly back to your previous residence. However, if it’s been a while in their new location and they are able to see their surroundings it is possible to rehome them to your new farm (especially if their loft at the old place is gone). The youngsters that you breed will be homed to your new location and yes, you’ll be able to fly, train and race them. Where are you located? Best wishes and keep me posted!
They are actually rehomed to our new farm they fly all around the farm during the day and at night they roost in the rafters. We had no idea they would behave like this it was an accident at first because the cage door was left open and we assumed they were gonna leave but they all came back. We live in parsons Tn. So what’s next? Can we take one a few miles away and turn it loose? Thank you for responding I can see this becoming an awesome hobby
Hi good to see you back i guessed right the back pack a tracking device . Africa Pro are using a tracking device I saw in the last race 5 trainers carried tracking devices 3 returned on the day and you can see where the two birds that failed to home slept for the night . In China they have been using tracking devices for a while now I saw that a one loft race will attach a tracking device which I guess is a clip ring or chip in a clip ring to every entered pigeon and participants will be able to follow there pigeons in the race .
You did guess right! 😁 Yes, gps tracking is fairly big in China, and yes, attached to every pigeon. I was contacted a few months ago to test out some gps ring for Skyleader. That will be in a few videos in the near future.
As soon as the tech enables this to happen reliably and on scale it will revolutionise pigeon racing. One loft racing will be far more engaging and even club racing will be far more exciting. Regulating bodies should anticipate this tech coming into the sport during the next decade so they can use it to the best possible advantage of the sport.
Absolutely agree! Real-time tracking tech is what will preserve the sport, appealing to the next generation (which do date have collectively shown little to no interest in the sport). PS You win for the best channel name.
Hey there! I have a problem with my pigeons, they had an egg recently and it hatched, but after that the two pigeons have started to give out liquid defecation. Do you know why is that happening or how can I fix it? Thanks alot!
Very hard to say. A lot of things can cause loose droppings. If the problem persists I would suggest treating them with 5 in 1 or something similar. Good luck!!
Good morning sir 🌻 Robertson family how s are pigion look like there are good condition and u have a bag pack to you r bird 🕊️ tacking device nice job 👍 God bless 🙏🏼🇵🇭
Cooooool, but what a shame, it's always get cut when your getting into the video. I hate those kind of episodes where you have to wait next week for another episode to be release.
Your tracking your Pigeons in real time that sounds Pretty Cool 😎
Thanks my friend. I like experimenting 🤓
