this is a fabulous video!!!q🙌 i am dyslexic and normally have to watch videos over and over or keep watching different tutorials before i can even attempt the proj. i actually understand everything the way you explained it! thank you SO much for sharing! 😍🤗🙋♀️
Very good instructions and demo. No silly talk or poor vocabulary. So many others use improper grammar and non specific language. You are so appreciated!✌️❤️🇨🇦🙏
I needed to make sure I was up to date on my pamphlet stitch. I go to give you a thumbs up! And I see Ephemera's Garden!!!! I have been meaning to get time to watch your videos but I have been so busy! 👍👋🌺🌹🌷😊😂
The way you showed how to put the signatures in the fold of the phonebook so the holes are right in the fold when you poke them through was brilliant! Most helpful! Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing, now I can up-cycle all of the crochet thread, well some of it, that I’ve had put away🤗 and there’s no need to hunt for the “perfect” elastic!!
This is the best tutorial I have seen with the pamphlet stitch and more than three signatures. Thanks so much for sharing your skills. It is very much appreciated by me.
I totally agree with the last commenter, fantastic explanation and I love the use of the phone book. I have never seen anyone else do that and looks very helpful. Thanks so much, great job!
I have to say this is one of the clearest videos iv seen on book binding. you make it look so easy and enough that I could do mine this way. thank you for making this video, I have also put it on my pinterest board for others to see. xxxx
As always, you give very understandable and easy instructions. I appreciate that you also explain the different types of string/cord to use, as well as, tips on careful tying so as to not tear anything. You are now my "go to" instructor for book binding and junk journals. Thank you! Blessings!
+Anita Martin Thank you Anita, I'm so glad you find my videos helpful. I hope you'll come over to www.vintagejunkjournals.com/ and have a look around, I have many expert friends who will also be contributing tips and inspiration, all in one place! Hope to see you there :)

Hi there.,,,Thank you for your reply ! Yes, I found you to be most helpful. So many of the people doing tutorials talk are so talkative about things that they like and have done..,.which is fine, but that isn't really teaching. I loved your instructions. So clear...and easy to understand. xo
This was a WONDERFUL tutorial. I learned a lot and am going to get busy right now making one for myself. Thank you for sharing your talent! I love it!!
Excellent tutorials! They are so well spoken, easy to follow, with clear directions..... some of the best on the net! Thanks so much! This helped make some things clear for me!
ThANK YOU SO SO mUCH!!! I LOVE YOUR PRESENTATIONS AND THIS IS A BINDING METHOD THAT I CAN DO. VERY WELL PRESENTED . ALSO, I LOVE YOUR JOURNALS, THEYALL LEAVE ROOM FOR THE PURCHASER TO ADD THEIR OWN JUNK.
Brilliant!! I've done hidden spines before, but always used a piece of chipboard which is clunky. Already ordered my Kraft Tex, thanks so much for the tip!!!
Awesome found the one I've been looking for I've already started on my signatures all I need to buy now is a old book and watch u again while I do mine your tutorial is so easy and hopefully mine turns out to
Fantastic tutorial - you explained it so simply and showed the steps very clearly. I've wanted to make one of these books for a long time, but couldn't find a good tutorial. Thank you so much for making it easy to understand!
That was super helpful - thank you! While I don't mind seeing the string inside either, using washi to cover it or make a pocket was just a nice variation. Would love to see how you take the insides out of a book (dismantle it). Perhaps you already have this on another video. I'll go and check your channel.
I agree with all the previous comments....INCREDIBLE tutorial...its what I've been looking for and always wondered about! Keep up the beautiful work....A+++++++++++++
My family were so impressed with the journal I made for them, thanks to your great instructions. I made a journal for them to remember our vacation together. I didn't take pictures but will ask them to do that. I can't wait to get started on another for my other daughter-in-law.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I made a hard cover for my first JJ and really needed to find out how to attach the signatures and this did the trick. Am looking forward to making more of them real soon
I've been studying your junk journal vids..have really inspired me to make one once l get back from my up and coming overseas trip next week..all the bits and bobs l tend to bring back with me..receipts, maps, flyers and so forth..you've also given me an idea, I plan to stop at some op shops so will keep an eye out for a hardcover book to turn into a journal...will let you know how it turns out in a few months..
Great Tutorial!! I wished I would have watched this vid before I just completed my three sig sewing journal!! I would have added more signatures or made my binding smaller! I really didn't consider the gaps between the sig!! Duh This vid helped a lot! I will save it for next time!! TFS ~Sandra
Hi Sandra I came here for a "refresher course" in 3 hole pamphlet today. This has been my g-to spot for a while. Fun channel! I'd like to recommend Keith Smith's books about bookbinding. He wrote one entitled, "Nonadhesive Bindings" (I _think_), but any of his books might offer insight or inspiration as to what might be added to those gaps between your signatures. That is, if you haven't already come up with your own solution! His books are pricey, but may be found in libraries, which is where I first became familiar with his work. He has inspirational photos in his books that show what other artists have don as well. His how-to sections are delightfully easy to understand, and even well illustrated throughout. :)
This is genius! I am a new subscriber. I am impatient when it comes to templates and things of that nature but you have made it so straightforward I really don’t think I will mind doing it this way. Lynn
Thanks so much for your tutorial! I can hardly wait to try it. Now, I wish I hadn't tossed our new phone book into the recycle bin. Maybe I can borrow my sister's phone book, though, when I give it back to her it'll have holes in it. LOL! Thanks again! :-)
