HOW TO DO IT (PS3, Xbox 360 & Xbox One): This is the Fight Move, Combos and Knockouts by Pushing "A" on Xbox 360 or "X" on PS3 to dodge the opponent's attack (Timing is the key) and then Push Y or B On Xbox 360/ Push X or O on PS3, while moving control stick at any direction! if you STILL don't understand, watch this video: • GTA 4 - Finish Him Ach...
PC (Keyboard Controls): push Space to dodge, and press LMB (Left Mouse Button) or R to attack.

the reason why the gta iv combat was so much better than gta v was because niko was a trained fighter, having served in the army. howver, it would have been cool if they had given trevor some cool knockouts as well, as he too served in the army (although he was a pilot so i doubt he would have been given the same amount of training)

I always loved gta 4s fighting. Its satifying when you rock someone the plant a couple more straights for the knockout. Then they fucked the fighting up with 5.
And then made it good in rdr2
Bro I’m so glad you did this too. My favorite is the last 2 bars of their health every punch has them reeling or “rocked” then you get that straight down the pipe cross by pressing B to finish them lol
Honestly, best knockouts I've seen in any game, it puts all the boxing and ufc games to shame. Amazing how a game where throwing hands is just one tiny aspect can be better than games where it's the entire focus of the game lol.
The euphoria physics engine is to be thanked for this, which they removed in gta 5. Thankfully, Red Dead 2 got it back in all its glory though. I'm sad that they'll probably never make a gta that's this dark and gritty again due to the poor reception, I suppose people care about jetpacks and rocket bikes more than the artistry 🤷♂️
But why do they go into a different animation so quick when they’re knocked out

Lol, Niko is more stronger even tho Luis is muscular and is the champion of Cage fighters. Niko will still win. He learnt to fight in the army. He knows the weakest points of a man. He knows how to defeat people. Brucie is also muscular but Niko was able to dodge his fast attacks the 2nd time Brucie attacked him and grabbed his hands almost breaking it like Dardan's hand.
