- In this video I make a Face-Hugger STEP-BY-STEP!!! I talk about all the stages & only use basic materials like wire, carrier bags, super PVA glue & kitchen paper - this is a VERY cheap way to make a substantial model!
Hans Ruedi Giger is one of my favourite artists, his creatures are so realistic & believable that I would love to sculpt them all - his Xenomorph & Chest-Burster are high on my to-do list.

My channel is kindly sponsored by Milliput - Milliput is a 2 part putty that sets in four hours at room temperature, becoming rock hard. Although I didn't use any for this particular sculpt, it is my chosen medium for most of my smaller sculpts as it is perfect for getting high levels of detailed texture - such as skin folds, scales, warts etc. The fact that it sets so hard means that my finished models will last. I am quite fond of it myself - Giger is one of the greatest creature designers of all time & Alien remains one of the best movies of all time too!

This is fantastic Leon and thank you for taking the time to share your videos! . You have inspired me to start modelling again - I’m going to sculpt some mummified creatures / Curios etc . Yes if you love creatures from creature-feature movies, 80s collectable toys & weird exotic pets, you have come to the right place! I am really into the sculpting at the moment & as I have just gained Milliput as a sponsor, I will be making lots more in 2022.
The quickest way to get a look at everything I have done so far is to go to my homepage & click where it says 'Videos' (this sounds obvious but a lot of people don't do this) - it will show all my videos & you can simply select anything of interest & ignore the rest!!

Hi Leon- yes ! That’s how I discovered your channel as I was looking for videos on sideshow gaffs and did a search for Fiji Mermaid . I’ve bought some Superfine White Milliput to sculpt the teeth, spines and claws . Cheers!
Hello, I loved your video so I made this for my brother and after all the finger pricks from the wire I would like to know what glue you used. I have looked up some glue but I would like to know which one you used or a glue that would be good. Mine is about 2 times smaller than yours and I don't have a lot of $$ but the info would be much appreciated. Thank you so much. 😏

I used Bond-It Duo Wood Adhesive - it is the glue manufactured mainly for laying solid wood flooring such as oak. I have found Super PVA is similar but costs a lot more. If you can stretch to buying a huge tub of the Bond-It Duo, it will last you a really long time & the initial investment really pays off!
