I have a 3 prime 1 statues, tips on dusting like how often, what to use etc. And I have a few smaller statues, do I have to dust those as often

You can fill that hole in on the leg and the chip on the elbow with epoxy sculpty then just paint it with a silver paint and dry brush some black and brown to blend in a rust effect. Is the thumb that isn’t broken removable? You could send it to someone and have them cast another.

On the base you need to have a flood light comming out of the skull or hidden near it somehow shinning upward just for the extra display factor. Not sure why Sideshow didnt incorporate lights directly into the base considering there is clearly room. I could live with the damage but that thumb might be the worst of it all but the price was fair considering.

I have masked almost all damage since video. Painting covering it. The thumb is only noticeable if you focusing and really looking for it.
@@flankster117 You'll have to do update videos as it progression happens. Considering it is a fullsize statue I would do everything I could to keep all Terminator pieces together cause its just to cool to seperate that display. But I dig it man.

As a collector for long time I try and not focus on the damage. It alike when you see a person only focusing on their imperfections and flaws. Not seeing the good. The statue as a whole is amazing. Yes a few parts have issues when you look for it and up close. But the way I displah it. If I didn't tell you guys and just showed you
You likely wouldn't notice 5/7 of the issues
For me it would drive me crazy if I bought a new one and it came with these imperfections - because I paid for a new one and I expected a new one without any damage. If I could not even return it, it would had given me bad taste in my mouth.
But the reality here is that Flankster knew he would get one with imperfections already and paid for the statuette with imperfections he already knew about. It is no shock to him that this endo comes with a little damage, it all was as expected.
So that right there is the big difference. Of knowing what you will get, it will give you a lot more peace.
Also being able to focus on the 30 good things about something instead of the 5 bad things is totally subjective and different for every heads. Some are better at it while other is not. So many people nowadays focus too much on the few negatives, and then black paint it, it is as all the positives disappear.
Also worth to mention, if you look close enough at any statuettes you will see very minor imperfections on almost every piece.
Nobody is the better man here. As there is no right or wrong. The worse man is however the ones that is telling him how to collect - as he already know what he wants.
What a Grail Piece! I only have the endo bust. Since you want to keep the endo bust and you have a predator bust I recon those two would pair well next to the Alien bust you mentioned you preordered due to them all being made by Stan Winston

IMO your collection is great with out that piece, true you are the only one that can see n point out those flaws, but you’re the only one that matters! Awesome presence of an iconic movie 😬
The eyes fading out is nothing more than a capacitor in the circuit, very easy to do and depending on the capacitors value will vary how quickly or slowly the eyes will fade as the stored energy dissipates.
Congrats on your piece!!! 1:1 scale for 3500 bucks is pretty good! Even with the damage which I think you can repair! I just picked up the 1:2 scale terminator from Agora Models and that cost me 1500 bucks! So your deal is spot on!

For the record I was unaware there was any issues prior to agreeing to the deal. It's when it arrived and I unbox it where they found. Seller did drive 7 hours to my house and when I look at it straight on which is best ideal viewing angle I cannot see any damage. I am looking into getting a thumb 3d printed and a hip cap as those are the two biggest issues. The rest are breaks in the back and glued can't see
Amazing!!! Maybe you can make a mold of the leg part and thumb and and broken thumb to make a fitted replacement. But you got a great deal. I can't think I will ever get one . I'm in Canada so for me 7000$ US is 10000 +shipping and taxes +duty = 13000 or more I just can't.

YES!!! Definitely holy grail. You can fix those chips and chrome them out but I would try to figure out getting a thumb replacement 3D printed or something. That said it’s not necessary because those things are at war with humanity ect and damage makes sense. It’s battle damaged. Lol. Looks phenomenal. Definitely keep the terminator stuff all around the Endo. 🤖

I couldn’t keep it with all that damage. And to be honest, it needs a lot of space and it doesn’t keep your line of 1/3 & bust. But if you’re happy with it congrats!
This is a beautiful piece do a little investment and search a local artist to fix it, don't paint it black buy on internet acrilic arclad chrome paint, after it is dry apply Vallejo black Wash to highlight the details and paneling. Looks amazing.

Used a silver metallic marker and black marker merging them

I have painted over several scuffs and visible white resin not noticable anymore. Need to find some kind of silver cap to cover hip. And see about getting a Endo thumb 3d printed
Keep all Terminator together
Perhaps a 3D print of the missing thumb or take a casting off your existing thumb might be a solution to thi problem ?
Maybe some one in the forum could help out here ?

But I had a similar problem but I had purchased dotm Optimus prime by prime 1 apparently with a few issues but when it arrived it’s leg was completely snapped with a bunch of broken pieces
Seller didn’t hesitate and just refunded me and let me keep it and told me to try to fix it

I think you should move all your terminator shit in the transformer room, have the endo where the treadmill was and all the bots would look good together
Get help with the missing parts perhaps through someone that has a 3D machine. You can spray it chrome and glue it on. Lots of potential!!

Dude. If you got a good deal (which it seems like you did - half price) this is a definite keeper! I also have one thumbless statue with some issues which drove me crazy at first. But the fact that I paid 40% off the price for it freed up enough cash for another statue. What you saved covers all the new mk statues from PCS. Covers most of your Godzilla vs Kong piece.

Sucks about the damage, the majority of it could probably be restored by a good statue artist. I’m sure with how many pieces you have you probably know a good artist who can do repairs.

I think it's from years of misuse from a non collector.
I think it's still worth the price point you got it at. About 50% of the cost and certainly it's WAY cheaper to repair the issues with the price differential lol

Hi Sean, i have been watching alot of your videos lately, your collection is fantastic, always interesting to see what you pick up etc but i hate to say this 1:1 Endo is 100% not worth 3.5k in that condition, the odd chip or scratch is acceptable but thats pretty fucked up, missing cap, missing thumb, chipped, cracked & broken, i genuinely would not even pay 2k for that! This one was a mistake! Best of luck.
All that stuff can be fixed. The thumb being the most difficult but still doable. This is a robot at war not David from the Renaissance.
Do consider new is $8 k plus if you can get it. I have been waitlisted on sideshow for over 1 year and since I waitlisted they raised the price by $450

3D printing a new cover is a good idea, especially if you still have the cap on the other side. I'd just take a bunch of photos and measurements and send them to a custom 3D printer. The paint job doesn't look too difficult either so it should be a relatively easy fix.
The display looked perfect before. Not a fan. Throws off the flow of the room. But as long as you like it thats all that matters.
