Great video, I've had a pair of Lowa Combat boots for 13 years as my main hiking boot. I've just upgraded however to a pure leather boot to move away from synthetic linings and goretex. Amazing durable boots
Thanks, I've been looking more at a pair of full leather boots too - They just work, they're tough, and have the right mix of water resistance. Waiting for the right deal.
Lowa boots are fantastic quality, I have multiple pairs, and I wear them pretty much all day, everyday, The Desert Elite are great in summer, the Patrol GTX both high and low height are good for lots of city walking and the surplus German SF boot which appears to be the earlier version of the Combat boot GTX is really thick leather and very well made as with all of them. I have never had any issue breaking them in, no blisters, no hot spots. I'm in the UK and there are a couple of places offering resoling for Lowa boots which I will get for my Patrol GTX as both pairs need resoles.
I think these will last me a while, I'm surprised at how well the sole is holding up. Now that I've had them broken in, they feel like I'm wearing a pair of socks. I want to visit the UK again to pick up a new pair of Altbergs, they're practically impossible to get in Canada.
@@MT1co I get all mine from ebay, there's some really good bargains to be had, I don't think I've ever paid more than £70 for a new pair of Lowa boots. It's worth having a look
