AKU is an Italian brand that manufactures their boots in the EU and manages to blend leather and textiles rather well, fully utlizing the breathability of GoreTex linings. Defintely check them out if you get the chance.

30lbs Sandbag
Переглядів 3Рік тому
I've been away so unable to hit the gym. But I did bring my vest and my 30lbs sandbag - I was complaining to myself "I should have brought the 60lbs sandbag." Big mistake! The 30lbs sandbag kicked my but. Lesson learned!
1% Rule

Practicing for a 25km run. During practice there are always times I don't feel like running, heck, even getting out of bed. But there's a lot of things we don't feel like doing, but we have to do them. Set parameters for yourself - We can't always do things based on feelings alone.
Those are some clean boots!
Absolutely beautiful! Seeing the familiar sections of this trail framed in gorgeous light with inspiring music is quite moving. I hope they found the missing person. That search and rescue team works so tirelessly to keep people safe!
I never did find out if they found the person, the OPP officer mentioned it happens all the time and most people get 'unlost' in a matter of time anyways. Thanks!
So beautiful! Lovely filming you two, thanks!
Magical!
My favourite versatile boot and the Aku Spider for the warmer months. Thanks for the video from the UK
You clearly paid no attention to the boot maker who tells you to only use leder gris because of the anfibio leather as other products are not suitable. 2 brush on some leder gris into the laces because it causes them to not slip and keeps them in good condition much longer than they otherwise would last.
You clearly paid no attention to this video, or didn't watch it before commenting. The only non-Altberg product this guy uses is saddle soap, which is completely fine, it's just to clean the leather. Other videos on here have guys using dish soap. He uses leder gris just as the bootmaker does, and also waxes the laces with the leder gris. He then uses just a little bit of leder glos to polish the toe and give that part extra protection & fill in scuffs, as many do. So I don't understand the point of your comment?
what brush do you use for cleaning with the saddle soap ??
Regular nylon based shoe brush! Really anything with som decent bristles to remove dirt will work. I save the one that came with my Altbergs for actual polishing.
That's some mighty good boot cleanin.
Living just around the corner from this company is a bonus for me, I own a few pairs of altberg boots. They are fantastic for walking - camping across then north Yorkshire Moors. These are still issued boots here in the uk many prefer these to the new issue boots. If you can find any haix high Liability boots or haix cold wet weather boots these were also issued along side the altbergs also very tough boots pretty much indestructible I'm still using the same boots from 2014. Great video 👍
I totally agree, I use these almost everywhere in the non-summer months. I’ll keep my eye out for the Haix High Liability. Canada sucks for access to Altberg and Haix’s full line up of boots.
