Video footage from the 8th Annual PA Plow Day held in Danville, PA. We had a great time as always at the plow day. Friday was a little wet with heavy rain till lunch time. The fields were good to us and dried out enough to start plowing by 10 am on Saturday. - Авто та транспорт
I love all of the parents walking along beside their kids, teaching them community spirit and having fun at the same time. Many generations of people and compact tractors, all put toward the same goal of helping their community. Thumbs up! :)

Looks like a lot of fun. It takes a long time to plow an 80 acre field with a garden tractor pulling a one bottom 10" or 12" moldboard plow, unless you have about 160 of them plowing at the same time.
This is super! I wish there was such events held in Central NC!

Would love to be able to make one of those plow days . Have a 18 hp suberon garden tractor . I have all the implements for it . Lift isn't that great but it works well. I have ateninch moleboard ,42inch disk,middlebuster ,coultevtar. My planter is a push type ,works good if you slant it the right side just about ten degrees to let it pick up seed good .

No way! I am kind of close to danville and own an original '84 180! Actually it has a few mods. Put on headlights, tail lights, a bus horn, and switched pulleys a tiny bit. But for looks other than headlights its all original.

Looks to be a custom job, could be 108-169 not sure. Looks like front hydraulics on the front too.
It’s fully custom but looks like a 149.
Hood reads 149, but heavily modified. Puller tractor maybe.

Barbie Barbie look up “sleeve hitch moldboard plow” on Google, should find several. Brinley makes one. The tractor has to have a sleeve hitch adapter for plows and whatnot available.
I have a 448 case that needs a 22or 25 hp engine . Must be water cooled if possible. I do need some plows for it . It is a slevehitch . Would.love to have a ten inch molboard for it . The rest I can build .

can this be done by any tractor without a diesel engine?
The engine type does not really matter at this basic level of plowing. It could be a 40 year old 10 hp Kohler gas engine and with the proper transmission and hitch, which is what separates a garden tractor from a lawn tractor, would be able to plow for day's. However, a 28 hp craftsman lawn tractor couldn't even hold the plow. A diesel of course can do more work with less, but in relation to your question, does not have to be a diesel.

Well, Then i guess its good that the newest of my garden tractors is at least 30 years old, the other 4 are 40 plus years old and work daily, but thanks for your insight. I never argued anything about newer vs older tractors. I actually kinda said that a 40 year old tractor with a 10hp gas engine COULD do it, but a newer 26hp lawn tractor could not, based on setup and tranny options.
@@Doge5600 That's funny because there are plenty of newer Deere X series super garden tractors that come to this event every year, and keep up with the rest, including an X585 and an X758. The X758 only had 4 hours on it when its owner brought it to the event. I've been attending since 2017.
@@MichaelTJD60 The difference is the new ones need weight and are made of tinfoil and the old ones are their own weight and can throw a truck around.

Surely you're mistaken. There is nothing my 180 has been given that it hasn't been able to do. I have plowed with it before. I would have to bring chains but its up for anything.
