I’d like to preface this by saying that I played basketball in NYC in an all primarily black high school and got my nick name from the brothers playing at The Cage and at Rucker Park. We were all trying to emulate what Larry Bird was doing on the playground and it was impossible for us. We loved the Lakers and especially the Boston Celtics. Personally, my hope for Boston is to do what Derek Jeter used to say when things were down, “that the ghost would show up eventually.” Boston go and get this and hang number “18”up high!!!
Aloha my brother I always wanted to visit Rucker park as a kid I grew up in Boston and loved playing basketball I also grew up in a black neighbor hood and loved playing at our local courts NYC always felt like the Mecca of street ball when I was kid Now I just watch the Celtics and the nba in Hawaii for the last 15 years I hope the city and Celtics get banner 18

I was up in Boston last year when my beloved was from the Cape Cod took me to a club and when I was leaving, I saw a lot of people with Celtic jerseys and when I asked her what was that she says this is the Boston Garden. I have to tell you I froze cause I know that’s where the Mecca of basketball is. Glad you love the game and let’s go Celtics.
More than mature enough JB understands it’s time to ignore journos-raised popularity contest, such as Mavs or C’s, or even JT or JB; winning the long-awaited championship is the only thing!
JB fan from day 1. I love that he brought up being booed at draft day. I didn't follow college bball so I didn't understand what was going on but thank Danny for knowing what's up. No one is perfect, so what he still can't dribble 7 years in, he's learnt his game and is being effective. Can he get finals MVP?
