I wish I was this fast.... just got hired by my local grocery store. Mostly watching this to get the hand movement down. Although while I'm not expected to get it perfectly down on my first day, I had to redo a lot of my trays... struggle with stretching it out at the end and folding it back. Mine were slightly bunched instead of flat. Thanks for making this video! Hopefully I can get better =D
Me too, just hired a week ago, can't wrap for beans. They want me to go faster! That's my problem too bunching under the tray. Those family pack trays of drumsticks/thighs are a real pain.
Jdima No kidding I was given shit bout my wrapping today and only my 4th day working this department 😄 glad to finally see how to properly wrap this shit up lol
When you stretch the film make sure ya only stretch the top layer and not both. That’s the key to stretching it all the way out. I’m a bit faster than him 😁
Thx that was helpful I'm trying to get a job today in the meat department in are grocery store thx lol can u show me how to properly take apart and clean a band saw if u can
How do you scoop the wrap around the back of the tray like you do in one motion using your thumbs to raise the tray, and still hold onto the wrap? Thanks
its all about timing when you get used to it when you pull the wrap over it just tuck it under a bit thats it. then pick up the trap and place the tray diagionally and at the edge of the hot plate and your belly , if you do not have a big belly you might need to stand closer to the hot plate (basically you are making a triangle) your hands go thru the triangle then there will be some space for your hands to stretch the wrap and close it tight the bottom should be flat and the top shouldnt have any ceases and perfectly wrapped

Little tip to new meat market employees, remember your codes.
Been working in the meat department for close to 5 now and I remember 90 % of all the codes in my store 🤣

MissCelticGirl it's hard to tell you it has to be shown in person and it's from a lot of years of working in the business

um you stretch so little
i stretch out the plastic a lot so 1 flap overlaps each other
