I grew up in esich ......Point of correction bro we have Kenyan Somali from northern kenya and Somali immigrants..but you can't tell Whose is Kenyan and who is not... Nikama masai wakenya and Tanzania ni wamoja TU but from different country

Somali is a tribe in Kenya and the people are not from Somalia the country.If you ask them they identify as Kenyan Somalis.Their loyalty is in Kenya.Only a small number is from Somalia and you identify such by their lack of grasp in Swahili language as most of them are not learned.They only come and blend in with the kenyan somalis.Infact Somalians call kenyan somalis FAKE somalis.The whole of noth eastern kenyais occupied by kenyan Somalis.Infact they have a vibrant business community that runs Eastleigh businesses and own the BBS mall.MAJORITY ARE KENYAN SOMALIS.

When the colonial govt scrambled to partition Africa some tribes got divided.A good example is the Tanzanian Maasai and Kenyan Maasai, Kenyan Luo and Ugandan Luo hence Kenyan somalis and Somalian Somalis.Think big and approach every aspect with open mindedness.North Eastern part of Kenya such as Mandera, Garisa, Marsabit, El wak, Wajir are a perfect example of areas occupied by Kenyan somalis the same way the colonial govt brought Indians to build railway line and eventually they become a tribe in Kenya.You can't identify them as Indians but Kenyan Indians.

I was waiting for this comment. Kenya's diversity is confusing when to East Africans!! This is why they think there are no Kenyan Somalis since they view them as different and not black or Kenyan, for that matter. Anyway, I can't fully blame him because Somalis tend to stick together and act differently from the Bantus and Nilotes.

I honestly forsee prolonged tension btwn ke and tz for decades that may turn worse ... its weird to see two neighbouring countries so similar finding themselves hating on each other on social media over trivial things ... i kinda blame vloggers who cover infrastructural development and brand them the biggest this and that in east africa ... and we kenyans like doing that ... tanzanians ive seen them follow suit ... none of this will solve our problems ... we need to just learn to work as a community and promote regional development ...

If Eastleigh is going stay dirty with uncontrolled traffic, it will never be what it is expected to be. I don't know what today's county government is doing. There has no achievement since coming to office. People fail to understand why NMS was in place, to keep off the cartels. Right now even with all the buildings, there's really no infrastructure to support, no wonder it looks this chaotic.
