psxr is surely a great improvement! In fact I have got two of them. My video here was to show the loudspeakers for selling. Cyrus 3i was my first amplifier, then I bought a psxr, than a power amp, then a preamplifier and a second psxr. Step by step I got my stereo system... in two years. I strongly suggest a psxr to all Cyrus owner but I think the best thing you can do for Cyrus amp is to pair it with Dynaudio loudspeakers (Or ProAc)
I also have a pair of Mission 751 but they are using a cheap Sony 7.1 receiver as an amplifier. Yours sound a lot nicer though. Would you recommend this that you have? If not, what do you recommend to go along with my speakers?
Hello Gino (sei italiano?) I owned the Mission 751 only when I had the Cyrus, not tried with any other amps. About the cables I tried only Van De Hul Hybrid cables so I am not able to say if Kimber is the best or not. But I am satisfied of the result
+Giorgio Bulgari ciao Giorgio. Ciao, gino
I own a mission cyrus 3 it's in need of repair, the lights come on but stops as they go round the imput lights and the tp light will not turn off is there any one that can help repair my mission cyrus 3 I love the amplifiers sonic sound and don't want to replace it
This needs a psxr , you would be amazed how more you will get out of you're amp , I'm running a 3 with psxr on mission , 752 non freedoms and adding a psxr was the best thing Ive done for my hifi
Thanks! It seems we both love British sound... well, Arcam and Mission are an excellent pairing! Bravo. I have noticed that Mission 751 sound better with copper cables, silver cables make themsounding too "bright" for my taste
Omg I can’t believe it how many people have the same pairing I have mission 751s with an arcam alpha 5 plus and a Rega rp3 what a lovely sound . I had no idea the set up of mission and arcam was that common

Hello. I tried and listen a few loudspeaker, for my taste the best match Is with Dynaudio, i replaced the Mission 751 with Dynaudio excite x12. But also Audience, DM, Emit and other more expensive serietà sound impressive, both low and high volume
@@icon7782 for years i lived with Cyrus 3i and Dynaudio excite x12 and It was one of the most amazing set-ups i have owned without spening a fortune... Cyrus Psx Power supply surely helps but the Cyrus 3 can drive without problem a pair of dynaudio. Of course if you think about Contour or Evoke series It is better to add a Power amp. For my personal experience dynaudio audience 42 or excite x12 sound extremely well with Cyrus 3. I Will try ti find some photos or video of that setup
Latest kits of Cyrus amp are quite analitical and clinical, with a great sense of musicality. The first amplifier (1, 2, 3 and 3i) are less detailed but a little warmer, quite close to valve amps... Surely adding a dedicated power supply (Cyrus PSX) improves the sonic performance by giving muscles and finesse with superior authority.
Giorgio Bulgari The Cyrus I sounded grainy with a direct punch, the Cyrus II (with PSX) was a power and speed wonder which was well doing free jazz, but still a bit harsh. The Cyrus 3i I had sounded warm, smooth and balanced - with all the power. Sadly died.

@@MrGioit I have NAD 314/514/414 setup. Speakers are from Polish manufacturers: monitors Nexton M-100 or Minas Anor III by Studio 16 Hertz. im still running a cyrus 3 with psxr.. powering a pair of ruark talisman ii speakers.. love them.. dont need anything else.
