Been watching this guy for years. It’s amazing how many places he’s traveled and always comes home with no issues. Then he’s off again to some far away land. No fear this guy is CRUSHING IT! 😎
I've been to the Philippines many times, all over. It's a wild place but I loved it. Lot of memories there. It's mainly safe but you still have to watch it. I'm sure you know how to take care of yourself. Enjoy your time there and hopefully all goes well.
I know the exchange rate at money changers are very good right now, and should stay that way 57 peso alomst for every dollar. Their central bank put a cap on it a few weeks back. Been there done that. I know your happy now.
Yes driving in the Philippines especially the city is crazy.. a UA-cam guy had a hotel room with a balcony right above a busy intersection like you are and he had a UA-cam video for a couple of hours of the intersection traffic and I could not quit watching it..hehe.. when you get a bus going south on the coastal road try and get an air conditioned bus.. lots of nice small little beach towns south of Cebu City.. my fiance / wife lives in the mountains right outside the town of Alcoy.. she is a beautiful Providence girl 29 years old and never been married and never had a child.. she was living with her parents on the vegetable farm where she was raised but she did go to Cebu City for a year and work in a factory.. I hate to tell you what to do but do not marry that girl because you can find a better girl without any children that has never been married and would be happy to take care of you and love you and is completely honest.. my fiance / wife is so honest he gives me the creeps and I have never seen anything like that in my life.. it took me two years to find her but I found a diamond in the rough. the Province girls are more honest and down to earth than the city girls are.. I am 70 years old and I have been engaged to this girl for four years.. she has never lied to me or ask me for money for her or her family.. I have been to the Philippines several times but keep on having to come back to USA to take care of business and money problems.. I am leaving again in December or January for the Philippines and this time hopefully for good.. I will live out the rest of my life and the Philippines after I arrive the next time.. keep it between the lines and watch your six 😮😊
Mike sorry I did not know you had a stroke and now in the recovery stage. I Don't know if you're long range plan is to stay in the Philippines , but I see your main obstacle is medical coverage, my 4 years in Thailand has cost me just in medical costs for a 14 day stay in the hospital was $24K and I have a $300 medication cost each month. Philippines like Thailand they want money up front or some type of guarantee you have access to funds.

Phillipines quite the place people just live and drive very used to it. Its a wayof life there just keep on and please be careful my friend.
I hope you find all that your are looking for and more. Most of all hoping for a peaceful and happy time there for you.
Mike, first one to the intersection who honks has the right of way. No joke.
Mike can blend in lots of places. Me too.
The people in the U.S. who are Karens would have a nervous breakdown there.
That's nothing but chaos. Eeesh!

Sad to see Mike aged so much in these years.
He had a stroke :( We must carry on his teachings and enjoy him while he is here!
