When speaking about the history of Indian cricket, we should not miss what the Parsis did for Indian cricket in the 1880s. Many of them travelled out of their own money. This is entirely chronicled in the book - India's Hambledon Men by Vasant Raiji. A line on these tours would have added more value to this vlog.
Answer for the question is tiger’s dad Ifthikar Ali Khan Pataudi who was part of the Douglas jardine’s England side that played in the famous bodyline series vs Australia
Answer of the question is "Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi". He played for England in 1932-33 before later representing India in the 1946 Test series against England
Can you throw some light on why Indian team even today is filled with upper caste brahmins? Great that you mention about the triumph our over colonial diffidence. But is it too convenient to be silent about caste oppression for those who are benefactors of that?
Cricket as in any sports there is NO caste based decisions that take place. It is about performing. Please don't bring your own agenda into sports. Sports can not and shouldn't think of caste. I work in sporting ecosystem and have seen many non brahmins(who don't complain or try to find reasons but put up their performance and get into the setup)being part of sporting ecosystem.
Bhogleji, as a Gujarati, I don't like to be mentioned MK Gandhi so many times in the video and worst part as Mahatma. I understand the political correctness, but you can avoid Gandhi and just talk about cricket.
Answer is Pataudi Sr. He played for England earlier and then featured for India in 1946
