    Yes, on GPO security filtering you removed everything which was correct and then added specific group, partly right but this will have mapping issue. To correct this; IN GPO go into delegation tab and add Authenticated users with read permission only - that should solve the mapping problem - remember in client machine you must also update policies by typing gpupdate /force in cmd

    That was fire. Thank you so much for that post, it had more info than I could have guessed. I can't wait to start making auto load share drives. My lead always makes them for companies. You are the man sir. Thank you again.

    A little fast, but an amazing explanation. The best I’ve ever seen on UA-cam on this subject! With your help, I was able to figure this out very quickly. Can you also do this for shared printers?

    In the New Drive properties under Action, why did you choose "Update" instead of "Create"? Shouldn't you create a new network mapped drive for the users first?

      Their is multiple ways of doing it... Its depends on you Infra and Requirements too

    What happens if a user is a member of more than one group... say a CEO that also want's access to the HR drive? Will it try to map the "P:" (Public) drive twice?... will that create any issues?

    • @LabsHandsOn
      @LabsHandsOn  5 років тому +1

      No it will not map drive twice... Also if user having NTFS & shares both permissions. Then only this will work.

    I gave you a finger down, i will explain why, you know a lot about the subject but you are not worried if who is watching your video can understand and follow your explanations, you are simply showing what you are doing without any preoccupation if watchers can follow and understand your explanations, seems like you are in a rush.
