It’s interesting that you selected this project!! I noticed yours in the background several videos ago and really liked it so, I did a screen shot to build one myself! My hammers are one thing I wasn’t happy with the placement of in my shop! Glad you did this cause the screen shot obviously didn’t reveal the notch on the bottom!
Great video!! Thanks for sharing your design…it’ll be making an appearance here in New Hampshire!! Oh, I have more than one coping saw!! Yea, I don’t cope well so I need lots of saws!!😁

@Mr. James I’ve got 12 on mine. It really is a great space saver. I know there are systems out there sort of like a pipe clamp rack, that can hold multiple hammers, but then your still hunting for the one you want and may have to move some to get at what you want. This eliminates all that headache! I’ll figure out a way to get the pictures to you. I tried to get a decent shot of the French cleat but it’s not very good. Oh, and I had to screw the hammer hanger to the french cleat because of weight, but that could be resolved with a deeper cleat. I just have some cleat stuff on the wood rack so I used that.

I have so many hammers, most of which I just don' use, but maybe I might if they were a bit more available. I have most of my tools that I use on a regular basis, set up on a peg board but hammers really do not work well. I put away my claw hammers and I prefer a rip instead. I have my go to hammer that I use for most things, but it would be nice to have several of my ball peened hammers out because I use then a lot more than I thought I would.
by the way I took a silverware rack out of an old dishwasher and I have used that for my tools that I use on most projects that are away from my shop. . It has a little bit of everything. It is amazing how useful it has become to me. tool boxes are ok but you have to dig for a tool you need and this way its right there.

One of my first tools as a kid was a coping saw. I have an Irwin coping saw now I use it for dove tails mostly.

I don’t want to clutter up the rewards box with pictures of the hammer hanger I built on your design and Mr. James would like pictures but UA-cam doesn’t allow for pictures in the comments SO, can you suggest a means by which I can get those to him? Thanks a bunch!!

Hi ya Keith. You could send them to my Business Email attachment and I could "maybe" find James in the draw at CTrewards.com and could forward them to him. HECK...I'd like to see what you came up with :)
