@@2014cwajts71 as a vulcano,i'll never ever forget that moment,33 winners within a couple of secs.....much more noisy than the cars today....this will be my goodbye music
I was there in turn 1 Stand B Box 11 Row Z seat 4 for 100th running and been going since 1997. Unfortunately i missed the 2021 race and this year's as well as i continue to recover from a brain injury but i will return when fully recovered. Go Heilo.... The drive for 5 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁 Have a great race weekend to those attending this year's race at full capacity!!
@@jraybay I'm 65 now, some of the 70s were a blur. No I cannot them all, have tix for most though. 18-19 is legit. I lived near Dayton Ohio for most of them, about a 2.5 hour drive.
You ought to be at the tunnel on the straight away ,wicked,a many of times just for the looks and sound can't see who but still awsom veteran tracker started in the 60s early,🤗👌✌
Don't get me wrong, not bashing, I'm a race fan, but is it really worth it to pay $120+ each ticket to just see and hear cars flash by for just 15 seconds for 3+ hours.
I think that price is a steal. I would gladly pay triple that price to watch the race. Been to the race 28 times and nothing comes close to the spectacle.
Scott S The Indy 500 is the biggest race in the world ahead of the 24 hours of Le Mans and the Daytona 500. It makes sense that the price is so expensive.
I like to sit in turn three. In the words of Brent Musberger "The start of Indy 500 is the most exciting moment in all of Sports."
As i found out in 2006....!!!hi from Amsterdam

I believe Jim McKay said that first every year from the grid before the start.
There is NOTHING like the start of THE 500. NOTHING even close.

It's so funny...you can watch on TV...watch people's videos....nothing matches the electricity of being there in person.

Look at the size of that freaking crowd!
1 in every 950 Americans was there
Biggest single day sporting event crowd in the world. Has held that title for decades.
Biggest seating facility on earth.
400,000 I believe that year
OUI, le premier virage est le meilleur emplacement ... pour le départ!

NOTHING sounds like the Offys, Ford-Cosworth or Chevrolet engines. Those sissy Honda's sound like a bunch of bumble bees.
Would love to hear that!
who is the hot chick 1:45
Someone you won't be able to stick your prick into hotshot.
I like the one with the hat on just to the right of the camera.
