Basically, technk stood up against dream to protect his little brother in that scene. The one where tommy and tubbo argue over discs and all.
So you're telling me that Wilbur learnt how to play Phil's guitar by his own because he wanted some attention and make him feel proud, but instead he felt abandoned and took his own chaotic road and couldn't handle the dissapointed look of his father when he blew up L'mamberg so that's why he asked him to kill him?

a few extra thoughts on this based on recent events. first, the attention to the bright blue of Tommy's eyes just wrecks me after seeing them drain in color during his exile. It really solidifies the first scene or so as a happier time in the past, before thr whole mess that is thr present. second, techno always had that bloodlust, and this falls in nicely with the recent development that he hears voices in his head that demand blood. So if he still had the bloodthirsty voices when he was very young, imagine how scary that must be for him and for his family.

Even better when he talks to Philza who says that Techno has always heard these voices.
He said that Techno had gotten better at ignoring them, but they were hungering and getting worse.
This is like a plot detail, like the reason Philza favored Techno is that he always had to watch out and help him before he went bloodlusted.

There is an animated series just go look up "dream smp animated series" they got like a bunch of peaple working on it , and pink is voiceing himself
Probably why he stayed with Phil and became a potato farmer before a revolutionary anarchist. The farming must've been a way to cope with the voices, I myself can vouch, for I am one of them.
the use of the different audio clips bROKE MY HEART- ESPECIALLY with the story you told of them growing up and getting older. also how you wrote the lyrics on the wall all jumbled and overlapping really emphasized Wilbur’s insanity. The subtle showing of Phil’s favoritism of Techno over Wilbur and how that affected Wilbur’s need for approval
How the family slowly drifts apart over time
Referencing Tommy idolizing Wilbur and being excited to join in the revolution with him, only to slowly see how Wilbur changes and realizing that things aren’t the same as before
It’s just- it fills me with so much emotions and it’s AMAZING
Also it referenced the 9 month war
I can confirm this as the leader off techno STANS
let’s say this is apart of the backstory of Wilbur, then what lead to him going crazy was also the fact of he was trying so hard to get his “father’s attention, so when he had lost the one thing he was proud of that his father could be proud of him, he just lost it. After years of trying that was his final straw and breaking point. In his final moments, he just wanted to end the pain of feeling like a failure to his father’s eyes even though that is most definitely not what Philza thought. But in reality, Philza was probably so proud of him all that time without Wilbur realizing it, and that’s why he was so hurt and sad that he had to see his son like that and kill him. Maybe in order for Ghostbur to be able to be at peace, he has to come to terms that he wasn’t the best person towards the end and no matter how much he thought everyone was disappointed in him, that was never the case. Which makes sense why Wilbur would tease Tommy because what if Wilbur was afraid that Tommy would be more loved by the people than him which is why he told Tommy “you will never be president” to help his own self esteem and to put down Tommy so he can feel like he is better of the two. Sorry for that rant 😅😅

I love how this shows how hard Wilbur's life was. When he was young, his dad gave him as much attention as he needed (and that carried onto with Wilbur when he had his son). When Wilbur left, things looked up for him, but it never lasted. He spent the rest of his life in despair and grief over what he lost. And it ended with his father cradling him as he slowly died. So sad...

Seeing Techno defend Wilbur when he was so young really adds to his backstory. It makes him feel like more of a fighting prodigy which adds to why Phil would have given him more attention than Wilbur. This is incredibly well made and definitely makes me feel sad.

Techno:
The one who stayed with his father who taught him pvp

the one who’s dreams fell apart had a tough life and died first

I like this one, I will give some of my personal Headcannon backstory
Philza: The Loving father who always helped his sons, even if he neglected one. He helped Techno when he found out about his Bloodlust, and Tommy when he found out about Inferiority Complex, but forgot about Wilbur, who needed to be noticed and loved by his dad too.
Technoblade: The one who grew up with voices in his head, always filling him with bloodlust. He stays with his Father, who helped teach him PvP as an outlet, and made a name for himself as the most powerful Person on the world. He once battled Dream and formed a Rivalry with him when he won, even splitting the money.
Tommy: The youngest brother who never had many outstanding characteristics, and was always jealous of his brothers. He never had something to call his own, and always needed validation from his dad to feel needed himself. He got an Inferiority Complex
Wilbur: The son who got the least Recognition, and always envied his brothers for having his father's attention, even learning Guitar to impress his dad, but failing to get his attention. He got unstable after a while and left home to make something of himself, and died, knowing he failed.
Here is a dream Headcannon
DreamXD is a god of Chaos, but he can interact with the world, so he made an Avatar, simply named Dream, to cause as much Chaos as possible. Dream was gifted with knowledge of the world that nobody else has, hence his skill at navigating the world. He was the best PvP master until he was dethroned by Technoblade, and moved to start his own Country in the wild, The DreamSMP, made to the most Chaos possible. He played the part of the good guy, and secretly did as much as possible to cause Chaos when enough people joined his Nation.

This was so wholesome and then it shattered my heart-
Seriously though, I really enjoyed all the family interactions. I also really liked the Techno characterization, with how he defends Wilbur and then lets Tommy drag him into a war that's "not his own." It's so rare to see good brother energy coming from Techno in the animatics. And the brief snippet of Phil accidentally ignoring Wilbur broke my heart right in two. This was so good!
The ignoring part got me too. I just saw sleepy bois on the thumbnail and i was like "oh cool, another animatic! Ill watch this and ill go do my homework" AND OF COURSE IM HEART BROKEN NOW! AND I CANT DO MY HOMEWORK BECUCUSE I CANT SEE THROUGH THE TEARSSSSSSS
YHHH and like the scar techno gets across his face from defending Wilbur is such a cool detail
It feels sad. Like longing for something that once was. It's not a bad sad though. It's like when you're looking back on good times, that are gone now. It's melancholy. I would typically act like Ghostbur and hand out blue in the comments to those who are saddened by it, but this one doesn't feel like I should. It's a good sad feeling, as opposed to just sad. And heartbreaking. It's sacred.

Some have probably experienced worse sad though. This kind of sad (in the video) has feeling to it. A longing, and love. This sad is a good sad, or at least an ok sad. Am I making sense? Emotions are hard to describe.
the character analysis in this is BRILLIANT and i cant get over it- lets go over the series of events we are shown here. philza favorites tommy and techno over wilbur, then wilbur’s wife abandons him and his son, then he is exiled from the land he freed, then his son disowns him- burns the flag of the land he freed to give his son a good life, a happy life. it is a series of backstab after backstab. can you blame wilbur for being paranoid in the end? for believing maybe, if it had happened so many times, that schlatt is a better leader? that tommy will abandon him too? that its better to end everything himself than be hurt again? i am going MAD from this art and storytelling
We all know that Techno's the favorite, but I personally think that Wilbur is Phil's second favorite, but because he saw that he was leaving Tommy behind, he started to pay more attention to him, leaving Wilbur behind. He didn't mean to leave him without attention, and probably didn't even notice, and I think that he was really proud of him, all the time, and when Wilbur lost L'manberg, he snapped because he thought that it was the only reason Philza was proud of him, and the reason Tommy and everyone was around him. He kinda projected his self worth on L'manberg, and when he lost the country, he lost, in his mind, everything good about him, and that drove him crazy, little by little. But that was not true at all, especially for Philza, that was already so proud of him before L'manberg, and saw in him that part of himself that was creative and not violent, and that had a lot of ambition, while Techno took the other side, more cold, and violent, but that cared so much for everyone he knew, and that's why he's the favorite. In Phil's head, Wilbur and Techno are toe to toe on the competition of who he's more proud of. And Tommy...Tommy just took and of Phil's energy and became a hyperactive teenager. He still really loves him tho

*THEORIES AS TO WHY THE KIDS ARE THE WAY THEY ARE*
Technoblade: He developed a feeling of bloodlust after protecting Tommy (in the animatic) from some bad mobs, he probably didn’t tell Ph1lza this but Phil figured out later on and didn’t mention it, because he *raised* Techno this way, (included in animatic) he raises Techno to be adventurous, free-spirited, and blood-hungry.
Wilbur: Phil has always preferred Techno in some sense for whatever reason, that’s why I think Wilbur always strives for Phil’s approval, of course that led him to become a people-pleaser and wish to impress everyone (why do you think he try’s to get Phil to kill him)
Tommy: A comment that I agree with typed that Phil probably adventured with Techno and left Wilbur to raise Tommy, I don’t think Will would be great at raising a kid and Tommy grew up like *this*, I’m not saying Phil’s a bad parent it’s just not a healthy living space.
Tubbo: Phil adopted Tubbo, (something you all forget) Tubbo probably felt left out a lot of the time because everyone forgets him, this caused him to be mature at a young age (it’s not always a good thing) and be okay with being forgotten by everyone, (everyone except Tommy of course) but it’s *still not* okay for a kid to be raised like that! (I headcannon Tubbo was there way later in the family dynamic)
Edit: For Wilbur’s part I wasn’t clear enough, I don’t think he can handle Phil being that disappointed in him which is a factor as to why (among others) he wanted Phil to kill him.
Edit #2: Wilbur also grew up being independent, I headcannoned that he raised Tommy by himself after all.
Edit #3: Because I headcannon Techno to grow up blood-hungry I feel as though he has a hard time trusting others and showing he cares or just dealing with emotions/feelings
Edit #4: Due to wanting to Techno wanting to protect his younger brothers he and Phil had left the house a lot so Phil could train Techno

He was right though, power corrupts.
Which made Tubbo exile Tommy because he cared too much for his nation.
In fact Power also corrupted Dream as he wants to have the one thing that Tommy cares about in his possession.
And Jschaltt was corrupted by power and was cocky and lost everyone.
Because Tommy was the Vice President he didn’t have the same impact on everyone as he was just a civilian but now since he was the Vice President it affected them which caused him to get exiled.
Techno loved his power but the difference is that he had that power because he cared for his brother, in fact Techno’s interactions with Ghostbur and Wilbur shows that how much he cared for him.
Dious Thomas, He doesn’t show care for Tommy in the smp, I personally headcannon that Wilbur is his favorite youngest sibling
@@saqifali7463 Well that is because Tommy was mad but it hurt him when his own brother was like that to him and he is his brother but words hurt him more than swords or axes.
And he does care for Tommy even with all of his flaws, I mean in the Festival when he was killing everybody because of causing him peer pressure he didn’t do and target Wilbur or Tommy even when he was bloodlusted and that is when Tommy also hit him with his Netherite sword, he still didn’t care.

i dont know if im the only one but, what if ghostbur remembers how he kind of raised and took care of tommy. i have this theory that Phil went on adventures with techno and he kept leaving Wilbur to take care of tommy. and I just want there to be a moment where wills like "i raised tommy, my younger brother while you played favorites with techno!" like that would be awesome. also i really love your art style!

I feel like techno got exiled, which is why he is is the only one of them who does not use his real name or show his face. And Phil kinda went after him, leaving Will and Tommy behind, promising to come back with their brother safe... Will has some abandonment issues, in his mind even Tommy turned away from him. Everyone did. You can see it in Ghostbur, he is nice to everyone coz he wants to deal with those issues in different way. This might be his "Unfinished Business" i guess. I also have a headcanon that Phil and his kids are all schizophrenic (They live in their own worlds, and see world through a window) and Phill is the only one who takes his pills

I keep watching this. Everything is just so emotional -- from music to visuals, everything that is being portrayed here, it's perfect.
I also love how Techno's eye was teary when he hugged Wilbur after saving him, like, it shows that he was but a child -- scared and worried; he had to do what he had to do to protect Wilbur.

Then the Middle followed soon to catch up with him, they waited. When the news came that they needed help the Eldest came, he waited. One descended into chaos and none of them where able to stop him, not even the father. They still wait, for their turn

This animation just gave me an idea about Technos pink hair. He had lighter brown or blond hair like Tommy or Will. However, after saving Tommy and getting covered in blood, his hair also got pretty bloody. He and Phil tried multiple times to wash it out, but it got stained pink. He liked the look and continues to dye it pink.

@@yamaguchi3440 He loved c!Fundy too much I feel like, cause c!Wilbur didn't acknowledge that Fundy was growing up and wasn't his "little champion" anymore. And that pushed Fundy into acting out which Wilbur took as betrayal

Oookay I'll just be over here crying I guess. When you showed Phil saying "I need you home" it just hit me in the heart man. You're so good at portraying emotions that you can clearly see how the character is feeling. Like when Wilbur sees Fundy burning the flag you can see the heartbreak on his face. This whole thing is just amazing beyond words.
The story if you watch without context:
Phil Favored Techno over Wilbur so Wilbur thought he always needed approval, Wilbur after the election and after losing what he thought was his approval went mad and came crawling back to techno, while techno was spending years training. All the while Tommy is trying to keep the family together and to show his brothers that he is as good as them. And Wilbur went so mad and was tearing the family apart so Phil had to put a stop and kill wilbur.
Holy shit im crying, its all amazing, the art and details of their eyes, the clothing and background make me smile yet the music with the way everything works, Philza alone home missing his Boys while theyre at war makes me emotional

God as a middle child I resonate with this Wilbur so much. All I can think of is that part of wilbur’s anger and wanting to press the button at the end was just to get Philza’s attention. As a middle child your ignored a bit more on accident a lot. And this Wilbur would’ve seen himself as weak compared to Phil and Techno. And then Tommy has so much energy, a close friend, and done so much. Wilbur had l’manberg but lost that too. He’s been alone, he just wanted his dad to hold him one last time. His dying wish.
Also! This playing into the whole abandoning Fundy thing. Wilbur wasn’t really sure how to properly raise a kid because Wilbur probably grew up pretty independent. Shown by him leaving home even before big bro Techno. (And the uh accidentally being ignored) so when he had his own kid he probably thought Fundy would be alright without him. Just like he was with Philza.
At least Techno was still with him always.
He doesn’t show ill will towards him because he enjoyed when they sparred as kids and he remembered his vault and how happy he was.
He might be sad because of wanting Philza’s attention but he has his brother who would never leave him.

This is hands-down one of my favorite animatics, none of the others hit quite like this one does. I love your style, I live for it. I love the expressions, I love the family dynamic, I love all of it so much man. I've seen so many animatics, but none have stolen my heart like this one.

He exiled tommy and is currently breaking him down slowly, emotionally controlled and manipulated Wilbur into blowing up L'manburg and getting killed by his own father, and had a duel with techno.
And if my theory is true where the prison dream is building is for techno and Philza then its like he is going after the whole family.

This is just a Minecraft role play, but this is also a heartfelt story told through the minds and perspectives of so many people. It’s about family bonds and feeling as though you’ve lost everything at once so many times. It’s about change and the thought process of the people doing the changing.
We like to laugh at the weird Amazon rainforest mess that is this family tree, but we forget to think about how complicated and heartbreaking that must be. You are bound to be betrayed by a loved one, no matter how close or far apart you are, because in the end you have all been family at one point or another. Friendships have shifted and fallen apart along with this nation, and my god do I love every second of it.

the fact that the story is told through so many perspectives is what makes it great. if we only saw it through Tommy's eyes, techno would look like a big villain, because we wouldn't understand his motives. if we only saw it from techno's, L'Manburg would look evil, because we wouldn't know where it came from and what it represents. This is true for everybody. We have a fuller understanding of the story because of the genius medium in which its being delivered. This mineceaft server achieved a level of storytelling with real, lifelike characters that very few "serious" stories have.

The one thing that hurt me the most
This is Uncle Iroh’s song to his son. Jokes aside this was a good animatic! The way you showed Philza’s favoritisms and how Wilbur slowly lost it because of it, is amazing! There is also someone else in the comments who talked about this in better details and I agree with her. The art style was great! Keep it up! Also, stay healthy and wash your hands.

I love this so much- very underrated. All the small things that make the video not only feel like a whole story, but feel like its integrated in itself. This feels like it shows the proper story of the sbi family on the smp. It is truly amazing
