Fiery Sprintcar crash brings premature end to action at Avalon Raceway

Footage has emerged of a fiery crash involving Repco Supercars Championship driver Cameron Waters on Boxing Day at Avalon Raceway in the Sprintcar Gold Cup.
Competing for Chief Racing at the dirt speedway in Lara, Victoria, the Tickford Racing driver opened his account by finishing third in Heat 1 behind Corey McCullagh and Brock Hallett. Footage: Caitlyn Barry

I’m the girl in the beanie after the crash, (the one who clapped towards the ending) my dad was recording and we’re the guy landed is exactly we’re we were standing and recording. was super scary, luckily the guy was fine!

@@DirtTrackRacing410 By running at the back of the pack until you learn to drive, by going to a sprint car driving school and by renting the track for practice. I don't know if this was a guy that has won and just got caught in the back or if it was an 11th place guy that always runs 11th risking it all for a top 10. It's usually the latter.
