Laura, Thank You! I am new to Lightroom after a forced exodus from Aperture. Your obvious mastery of Lightroom along with your excellent communication skills have now made me eager to learn this amazing tool.

Thank you! This is very clear, both in terms of the image on the screen when expanded, and in terms of the verbal presentation.

@@LauraShoe1 Don't know whether you can answer a question here, but I can't figure out why sometimes nested keywords appear in the text box as Child < Parent, but for most the parent and child appear as separate keywords, separated by a comma. I can't find an answer despite lots of looking. I will check out your website!!

After much research, I learned that the < sign indicates that a Child keyword is duplicated and belongs to two different parents. This allows you to determine which hierarchy the child belongs to.

Thanks for the fine video. I clicked on multiple photos using the control key or the shift key to add a keyword for all. The keyword will not stay on all of the photos only the first photo of the group. The same problem when I make a group and using the check box on the list of keywords, none take the KW. This feature has worked before. Is there something in the preferences that has caused this?

You're welcome, Don. It sounds like you are in Loupe (single-photo) view, not in Grid view.
