I hope that after retiring this trijet would end up in a museum just like it's predecessor did. The DC-10/MD-10 is a gorgeous jetliner that should be preserved!
Oh I’m sure she will, N220AU is preserved at Tucson Air & Space Museum... so I suspect that N330AU will be preserved too. A true legend in the aviation world!
@@aviationlba747 That's exactly why I have high hopes with this jet. When the first one is preserved, why not do the same thing with the second one. The fact that N330AU served as the Flying Eye Hospital makes it more appealing to aviation museums.
They haven’t ‘upgraded’ yet (not like you can really get better than a DC-10). Orbis still operate this aircraft, N330AU (a DC-10-30). But, it’s predecessor, a slightly older DC-10-10 registered as N220AU was preserved at Tucson Air & Space Museum.
@@aviationlba747 Well its "kind-of" upgraded. The entire avionics and cockpit are changed for the ACF cockpit using the same computers as the 717 did, based on the MD-11's cockpit with just a few changes (manual air system, old non fadec ignition/throttle systems etc)

Nice video
Fed ex had newer lower hour Md-10 parked and they gave a 40 year old MD-10
This used to be a FedEx cargo plane but now a hospital mid Air
Good
When will you arrive in Bangladesh, Will you gives a appointment time for my mother retina treatment?
Considering the safety record of the DC-10, is it really the best option?
Dc 10 after repairing the flaws proved to be really safe and stuffy plane!
No music..
Muted Due Of Copyright.
So it was a Fedex plane?
@leo Ng they must have did a pretty thorough overhaul on it. It doesn't seem like a plane that old would be allowed to fly.
In a world where DC-3s still operate, this isn’t that old 😉
@@Angry.General1461 they upgraded it i think.
