11:21 It is very difficult for me to get exercise without triggering a massive migraine. To my surprise, and sadness, none of my doctors have been receptive to my words when I try to tell them that it's very painful to do and it is actually quite scary for me. I cant speak for them but it has always felt to me like they think I'm just an obese person complaining about exercise. I get a lot of blank, empty stares. I enjoyed all kinds of exercise before my chronic daily migraines began about 5 years ago. One exercise that has helped me a lot is swimming. I took a water aerobics class before the pandemic and it was so freeing to be able to find something that did not easily trigger my head pain, but was also very fun. 6:00 You also talk about fear of the next migraine attack in this video. This is a very real fear of mine, and I had no idea there was a name for it. It is beyond encouraging to hear that some doctors really do understand. 17:25 I was very discouraged about 2 years ago when not a single medication I was given was helping me. I was given many to try. Very little were specifically designed for migraine sufferers though. I became so hope deferred that I quit and refused to talk about what I was going through with my doctors. I went without treatment for at least a year, and it did not really benefit me in any way other than not having to talk to doctors who didn't understand me. In fact, I believe my headaches got worse during that time. I wouldn't even take over the counter medicines for pain. More medications are coming out as of late that are geared more for helping migraine sufferers. And a couple that I have tried actually do seem to help. Anyway, this was such a well thought out video. Thank you for this.
I was at a very healthy weight when I went chronic with migraine two years ago. Since then any exercise makes my migraines worse so I've gained about a stone 🥲 I'm thinking of getting a walking machine to try at home.
@Truerealism747 Yes daily, with faints, eye shakes, dizziness, absence ect mine are kind of crazy symptoms only recently started getting nausea and eye pain
