Love all your finds! Was sitting here drinking my coffee and enjoying your video when I got a notification that the mug I bought from you on Whatnot has arrived! So excited to use my Aristocats "Marie" mug. 😍 I think the poppytrail pattern is called Provincial Homestead. Love it! I haven't run across that particular pattern yet. If you are a reader you should read the Redwall series by Brian Jaques. All about little animals dressed in clothing and set in a medieval setting with a walled abbey which they defend against the foxes, stoats and weasels.

New subscriber here. Our family does an annual trip to Carmel every July. We all live in Central and Sacramento Valley, Bay Area or Tahoe. We usually stop at Casa de Fruita on the way to to get goodies for everyone. Sometimes we stop at Hot City BBQ on the way too. Never thought to thrift shop while there but will be this time. Wow on the Matryoshka dolls. I have been to all those shops. I am always disappointed in the Goodwill in Gilroy-It's so huge and so empty.

Please educate me on your use of the backlight on the Green Glass, does it signify lead or other minerals?
Hi there! The black light gives you an indication that uranium was used in the making of the green or yellow “Vaseline” glass. If there’s a presence of uranium, it will glow a beautiful day glow color somewhat akin to the clothes from the 80’s😂. Alternatively, if you find Orange color glass that fades into yellow or red what you may have found is “Amberina”. This glass was made with Selenium and Cadmium which also may glow 😊. Do you go to thrift stores to resell almost everything or do you buy clothes and other stuff for yourself? Do you ever buy used clothes at thrift stores for yourself or husband or never buy used clothes for yourself?
Some people never buy clothes from thrift shops, to wear.
Maybe have something about buying clothes that are used.
Hi! We use the black light to see if things glow. Some vintage glass glows, such as Vaseline glass which glows bright green or vibrant yellow. There’s also amberina which glows orange. They’re beautiful in my opinion. Yes, I agree with you that many stores are very expensive, which is why I complain when thrift store pricing seems very high. I do have a lot of mugs and I try not to look anymore, but sometimes there isn’t a lot to choose from of worth in the other departments so, there you have it. I’m forced to look. Great question! I usually have to pull the tag off temporarily to see who made the item. For some reason the thrift stores put the price tag right over the name brand or company label. I don’t understand why they do that, but I like to know who made the item I’m looking at. That way I can make an informed decision as to whether I want to purchase it or not.
