Hey guys just wanting to pin a comment letting you know that the reason I didn’t call this video a “review” is because to me, this was to test out the foundation and educate you on how best to apply it according to hourglass. I decided to do 2 wear tests so you could see how this wears on my particular skin :) I failed to mention that I have dry skin, I say it so often I felt it was implicit, but that was an oversight. I don’t know how it would wear on oily skin since the foundation hasn’t launched yet and I can’t speak to that, just wanted to give my initial thoughts and give you information before the launch. I will continue wearing this for the next entire week and try to let you know in an upload my full thoughts and review later. Thanks for the support guys!

I can only.speak for myself but I pay more for my foundations and powders because they are the foundation of your face for the day no pun intended and I am so excited to try this hourglass foundation as i haven't tried their foundations since I switched to 100% cruelty free! Hourglass seems real humble for being high end....It really is beautiful on your skin. Any foundation after 8 hours needs a lil powder or blotted....I like it and the foundations that you like I seem to enjoy too!

I have a video request! Please do a video for those of us who are nurses and work in hospitals and work 12 hour shifts. Long lasting makeup good for working those long hours. Pleeeeease!
ThruTheLookingGlass yes!!! We all know those days often go into 14 hour shifts!!
Obviously this is 7 months later, but while I'm not a nurse, I work long hours and I often sweat. I also have oily skin. I use the Tarte Foundcealer. It's so good. It is a dewy finish, but not in a bad way and it covers. The fact that I have oily skin and it's a dewy finish, speaks volumes. It also lasts for hours and hours. I set mine with the Fenty loose powder. I also touch up with some Wet N Wild powder, but I can't remember what kind. It's white, but it soaks up oils and does NOT move your makeup. Fenty makes some too, but it's pricey. I already spend too much on my other products. Besides, it works so well especially for $5!!! I use the Tarte creaseless concealer too. So nice.

What I love about Hourglass is that they do an absolutely kick-ass foundation for oily skin (immaculate) and obviously a great foundation for normal/combo. Definately one to save up for.

Hey Kristi, Could u make a video about what its like to work with brands? When I was watching this, I immediately thought back to that video u did, where u followed your first makeup tut on YT, and I thought about how, at that moment, u prob NEVER thought u would b working w/ a brand like Hourglass! What is it like? How does it feel? Do you go to their offices, sit around a big table, and talk about the product? Is it intimidating? Do they give u a list of things u have to hit on, about the product, when u make ur video? What would’ve happened if u didn’t end up liking the foundation? Do u tell them before u sign anything if u like it or not? I don’t know that, if it was me, and I didn’t really like the foundation, that I would say no to a brand like them. I mean, its an opportunity of a lifetime! Just being honest, and I’m sure a lot of other people have been in that position. I’m so interested to know about the “behind the scenes” of big makeup brands, and what the process is like when working with a brand in this fashion.

Kristi I'm feeling this minimal setting powder moment. I've been pulling waaaaaaay back on the powder for a while and never really understood how effective it can be when your makeup wears throughout the day! It just fades so much more gracefully.

It was definitely patchy on blending which is likely fault on both parties, but since we know our girl and Sigma CAN blend, Im concerned for the stack ... In recent videos the conclusion seems to be that the stacks do no measure up to the palette formula from Melt...
Shame they can't keep the palettes in stock though!!!
@@sarahwithstars oh I absolutely heard many times it's the other way around - people think the palettes are alright, but don't compare to the quality of the stacks. I own the rust stack and additional singles and they can absolutely look patchy when you're not careful. but that's because they are so pigmented and easily stick down where you placed them first. They need a dry/powdered base imo. so if the stack would contain a matte transition shade, the dark brown would have blended over that soooo much better I bet. and then, dark blues are probably not the easiest to formulate/blend in general 🤔 this stack definitely is a pass from me... but I'm interested in picking up one of the split pans when released in singles (probably takes a year... lol)

Agreed! I have two of the OG melt stacks and the Gemini palette, and I absolutely love them, but the newest “formulas” are extremely disappointing. Definitely not worth the price, I have better quality shadows in my collection for a fraction of the price 💁🏼♀️

Honestly, this is one of the first eye looks I’ve ever seen Kristi do that didn’t impress me. I saw that matte blue and was like MIGHTY NEED but after seeing all this I don’t really feel like I want it anymore. OTHER THAN THAT THOUGH IM SO HAPPY SHE GOT TO WORK WITH A BRAND SHE LOVES you go Kristi.

I feel like this would be a beautiful bridal foundation. Not too thick, not cakey, a little bit of dew, long lasting. I still love my graftobian palettes but this would be a great alternative! Love how those wore on you.

Not a fan of that eyeshadow stack, the colour scheme is not for me and they seemed patchy (at least the matte ones did) idk.. not my fave from melt honestly.. the liner was my fave, from blue to brown loved that!

I’m definitely interested in trying a sample of the foundation, Hourglass generally has amazing products! And I wish Melt would just give consumers what they really want: a restock of the Smoke Sessions palette 🙄 Unfortunately the Blue Print stack doesn’t interest me at all, and I feel like I have these shades already in my collection that are far better for a fraction of the price.
