- Carlos Ledo of the MIA All-Day podcast joins Manny Navarro of The Athletic to review Miami's spring game, discuss the opening of the transfer portal spring window and Hurricanes targets, who Miami's 2025 QB will be and answer mailbag questions. Recorded April 17, 2024.
We gave up those pts in those games because our defense was on the field way to long cause TVD couldn't establish a drive.
True
Manny TEs were definitely targeted more than once at the Spring game. Jackson Carver caught a TD from Jacurri. Also Williams caught a nice contested pass.
Agreee . Dont know what game they watched
The tight ends where used please go and rewatch smh!
Listen, I had a few football scouts (and former players) who went to the real scrimmages and they said the tight ends weren’t involved much in the offense. I wouldn’t say something reckless.
@@WideRightPodcast Manny, you said TEs were only targeted once at the Spring Game, fast forward to (18:15). You weren’t referencing scrimmages or practices.
@@90210146 Arroyo had two targets in the spring game. Tight ends as a group had five. Point being I don’t think they’re being utilized a lot more than last year. Some, but not significantly
Welcome back Los!
Great points all round. We are still hindered by Mario being stuck in the past. Thinks he can just line up the offense, show our hand, pound it, and be successful. These days you need creativity to confuse defenses or they will snuff plays out. The game has evolved since he was on the o-line.
No Cromarty, thanks!
Ledo! Ledo! Ledo!
This is a 10 win team and if they fix cornerback and receiver and running back 11+
9-3 is unacceptable. You don’t get Cam Ward to go 9-3 period
Emory completed 8 passes in FSU game he is not power five quarterback
Manny, people weren't listening 🎧 when you said Citizen would never play a down for Miami.
You guys are giving up on Reese way too early. Kid is a gamer and a winner.
Welcome back Carlos, N.C. running back Hampton may be available, like that young man better than Martinez! Heard Fsu Woke, ESPN Navarro and Big O were seen protesting Mario with the Hamas protesters in the streets of Miami?
No eat playoff team baby
Need to keep Bell home, the kid is UM legacy, his grandfather has been U athletic department forever, great genes and lineage, keep our kids home!
Manny, 1995: did you cover high school football for Miami Herald?
Not then. I was still in HS. I worked the sports desk as a clerk at the Miami Herald (stats, boxscores, standings horse charts). I started writing more in 1998
Citizen ran a bad route not on jacurri
I thought Citizen was transferring
Who plays qb next year?
Transfer
I think you are wrong about the tight ends in this offense. They better use the tight ends this year because if not they are wasting talent
This dude is talking about Fletcher like he's his doctor and knows him banged up or will miss time lol. Can't make this up 😂😂
Carlos you’re right on a lot but Emory is not a good quarterback inaccurate short and his arm is weak he doesn’t show anything but heart and heart not scoring touchdown
Scrubs? Calling college kids scrubs is wild.
My bad man. Got too comfortable. I meant walk-ons and non-scholarship guys.
9-3 or 8-4 bad take Carlos
I'd be very happy if I end up being wrong. Also, I qualified it by saying as the roster currently sits. Portal additions can change that.
Miami's last two starting quarterback's has been porter players! When are we going to start developing quarterback's? Why would any quarterback come here?
Miami is going 11-1
No one saying national champs dip sh$t.
I'm not sure what spring game you watched, but I counted at least 4 targets to the tight ends. You guys really sound like Dawson haters. How about give the a guy a chance to call a game with a good quaterback and a healthy tight end room before saying we are not going to throw to the tight end's. I stop watching after those comments because you guys are clueless.
I didn’t just go off the spring game with my comments. Heard the same thing from scouts/former players who attended closed scrimmages. They said they felt like the tight ends still weren’t involved enough. When Lofton was catching passes, it was mostly out of the backfield. Might’ve been an issue with Arroyo and other tight ends. I don’t make shit up. I heard it from multiple people.
@@WideRightPodcast Bro its not even really worth me responding to that. I know what I saw tight ends got multiple targets in the spring game not just Lofton.
Yo manny you wrong for calling our back ups scrub man dead wrong huge fan but that wasn’t right.
Man, I’m sorry. Didn’t realize I actually said that on air. LMAO. I meant walk-ons and non-scholarship guys
Dude talking offense like he's a OC 😂😂😂. Keep doing taxes homie 😂😅
Bro, you’re better at heckling my facial hair. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
