Hi Andy, Great presentation. Could you tell us what minimum scanning distance is and accuracy compared against traditional survey methods? Also, can survey control points be integrated into register process? Many thanks
Hello Andy, I'm trying to export by setups. I have RTC360 data and BLK2Go data in the same project. The RTC scans publish as individual setups but none of the BLK2Go setups get published. WE send all our data via RCP files. The modelers have requested that I publish by setups rather than one big unified point cloud. This gives them more flexibility to fix any problems that may have gotten by our QC process.
Hi Andy, I would like to export the file as PTX. At the end of the video you can see that PTX is not active. What steps are necessary to save the object as PTX? thanks
Hi Andy, great video! Can you clarify if there is any way of using the captured imagery to produce a navigable virtual tour with the BLK2Go in a similar fashion to the BLK 360 within the Matterport platform? Is there any Leica or third party software that would be able to produce a virtual tour from the BLK2 Go?
Hi Andy, Thank you for all the help. Sometimes when i am attempting to import date into Cyclone360 I get an error message stating; "Exception in OpenAndMigrateProject(): 11: database disk image is malformed". Any idea what cause this and how to fix it? Sometimes moving the scanned files from the memory stick to the HDD or visa versa fixes the problem. You help and advice is very much appreciated. (This is data from an RTC360)
This is a great question! Import of data has improved drastically over the last few months and data can be transferred via the BLK2GO Wi-Fi or USB-C cable connection. The data time is variable and is influenced by the length (time) of a walk; and how many high resolutions Geotags were taken. These photos can be verified and seen on the BLK2GO App as well as in the latest Firmware version on the Web Interface for the BLK2GO.
Hey Richard, I believe this cloud had a little over 100 million points and the project size was a little a little more than 2GB. But the project size depends on how many ‘waypoints’ or pano-images I decided to import. If I didn’t want any pano-images this project would have been very small. On the other hand, if I decided to create a waypoint every foot, the project size would have been bigger. I know that you can mesh this data in 3DR. I haven’t tried any other meshing programs. ~Andy
Hi Kevin, The BLK2GO would be able to scan the facility quickly and easily, but it would helpful to know exactly what you plan on doing with the data to be able to say if the resolution will work for you. It would be best to reach out and talk with our sales reps to see if they can send you some sample data that would be similar to the facilities that you plan on scanning.
Hey there, you can definitely do this. I’m sorry I didn’t show this. All you would have to do is double-click on any of the red bubbles to go into the pano image, then use the measurement tool to measure between two point. You will have to make sure that the point cloud is toggled on, but you will be viewing the pano image. When you say ‘create points for export,’ do you mean create individual points, and export only those points as a .txt file or something like that? If so, this isn’t possible with Register360, but you can do this in the classic version of Cyclone. ~Andy
Hi Rafael, our sales department would be able to give you these answers. You can contact them here: shop.leica-geosystems.com/learn/reality-capture/blk2go
Hi Steve, you will always need to use Register360 with the BLK2GO, because it contains the SLAM algorithm that is able to accurately put the point cloud together. Then you can export directly to Pointfuse for automatic segmentation and classification and BIM modeling.
You can export directly from Cyclone REGISTER 360 (BLK Edition) to RCP format, or you can use Cyclone PUBLISHER to generate an LGS file which can be consumed by our CloudWorx range of products (one of which we have for Revit). It is simply a publishing option. Hope that helps!
Perfect explanation, as always, very fan of your videos!

Great video!nice explanation .Interested to learn more by the way you present.
Thank you for the comment and feedback!
Sorry but I've not understand, is it possible create file dwg 2d?
Great video. ,you are one of the best in Leica trainers 👍👍
Thank you! I really appreciate it!

Excellent video Andy!
Thank you, Paul!
Is there a way to integrate your survey controls to your scan?
What file type does the scaled ortho image option export as?
Amazing features by BLK2GO
Thanks for the support!
@@LeicaBLK May I have your Email I need to discuss some suggestions with you
Can the b2g files be batch to covert to rcp files. We have hundreds and it takes along time to process each one manually
Can this be used for decontsruction purposes?

Can one export the point cloud and texture in colour (coloured 3D mesh) in FBX format for Blender/Unity manipulation ?
How long is the import time ? Thanks

How many points were in that point cloud and what was the file size? Also, do you have a workflow to generate a textured mesh from the BLK2GO data?

Cost ?
Leica Cyclone REGISTER 360 included in BLK2GO for free? or we need purchase this software individually?
Hi Kevin, Register360 is not included with the BLK2GO, because some customers might already have Register360 for their other scanners.
Great video. Do you have a workflow to help us accurately geolocated multiple scans?
Hi Michael, I don’t have a video about this yet, but this is a good topic and it’s something that I should create soon. ~Andy
Leica BLK Thanks! That’d be great.
How would this work in a very technical space, like a pharmaceutical manufacturing suite with lots of twisty turns, hoses, piping, tanks, etc.?

Nice job.
Can we measure and create points for export while looking at the panoramic images.

How much does it costs in US?
Hi @leonardoleonardo8355, you can find out more information about the Leica BLK2GO here: shop.leica-geosystems.com/leica-blk/blk2go/overview
Will there be a video on publishing to Revit?

Hey Brent- Yes, we actually have a Revit tutorial in the works right now. Please hang tight, we'll have it ready as soon as possible! ~Andy
