I think most of us who are fortunate enough to share our lives with a dog feel the same way when we lose them. They are precious members of our families. We lost our little Shih Tzu who was 15 to cancer (pneumonia after second surgery) on December 19, 2022. I had anticipated losing him and was of course sad, but when the trauma of his death finally came it was devastating. I’m crying writing this…It took me until the end of July to decide to get another puppy. We got him on August 5. The anniversary of the day you posted your beautiful tribute to Muesli. He’s all of 3.2 Lbs, a tiny little dark brindle colored Shih Tzu. He’s already bringing much needed joy back into our lives. You have a beautiful life ahead and I hope it includes many more dogs, as well as your wonderful travels. We need dogs as much as they need us, probably more❤

Trust me! I have had about 2 dogs pass away last year and it was really sad. I just needed to grieve and take a break. I am glad your feeling better. 😊

Kane.... oh myyyy gerd I got to hang out with Orangutans in Bali sanctuary....WAY back in the day, b4 all the forests were stripped for growing 'palm'. I also got to help bath elephants in sancuary. My heart will never forget getting HUGS from Orangutans. It wasnt a business nor touristy place ....just locals whom cared.
Absolutely as much of a part of the family as anybody. We have had to put down two animals and it’s the hardest decision anyone could have to make. Glad y’all are back. Bring it on I need some Aussie sunshine to get me through the Mississippi winter. Safe travels y’all.
It's me from Detroit. Well, I know how you feel. My Scotch terrier, Pookie, died of cancer at the age of 14, and we were all depressed. It was hard to watch him suffer from the pain.
