Being poor is not the shameful condition. Being unsaved , rebel and lawless before God YAHWEH is the most shameful condition. Prosperity gospel creeps into the church.
To Alfonso Carpio: Yes, He can--and he did. And He also said "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven." He didn't say it's impossible, just that it is hard. Personally I don't think that it is wrong to put away money for one's future and one's family, but you will not find a great emphasis on that in the Gospels. Even if we disagree, peace and good to you.

Can a beggar multiply bread and fish to feed +5000? I think you just want to blaspheme the Lord because you do not have faith in Him. Repent and accept the Lord into your heart and you will see that being poor is the end and not a means to be rich in spirit!
